So it just shows their are some irregular problems with issuing these packs.

The sheer number of oddities on this messageboard alone suggests that there is some work to do on the database to ensure that the correct people are targetted, where appropriate, to make sure that the club do EVERYTHING possible to sell this great deal.

Anyone who thinks that pointing out these problems is a bad thing needs shaking in a bag (or some such bad metaphor)

I would have thought the Darwen End sales will pick up as the season gets closer.

There's no rush, people don't need to secure a seat next to their mates for obvious reasons.

I make it either 422 or 498 sold so far ... depending on whether that first row really is sold out or they are not selling them for some reason.

Just done a quick calc on the site.

Around 100 seats remaining in the blackburn end lower (around half of which are in N05), around 700 remaining in the top tier too. Riverside has about 170 seats still available, however probably about 70 of them are restricted.

Hopefully the DE will now be the ones which gets all the outstanding ST holders....here's hoping anyway!!

Oh for f***s sake this is ridiculous, 50 THOUSAND packs have been sent out, maybe to the moon, but let's get 3 things straight at least:

Everyone who knows there's a BRFC at Ewood knows when the season ends and starts, and has acted accordingly. There are adverts all over taxis, buses, bus shelters, the local paper, the local radio ... ... ... Current ST holders were lining up to renew on the first possible day.

Everyone who knows there's a BRFC at Ewood BUT DOESN'T LIVE IN THE AREA is LIKELY to know someone who DOES live in the area, who can pass on the good news about cheap Season Tickets. Family, friends, etc etc.

Everyone who knows there's a BRFC at Ewood and doesn't live in the area and DOESN'T KNOW ANY OTHER BRFC FANS WHO MIGHT HAVE SEEN THE CHEAP ST MESSAGE ... are the most likely people to have seen the internet publicity and maybe had calls on their mobiles from BFS - because they keep in touch with the club through those channels.

The paper has it, the radio has it, the TV has featured it, the world knows.

To deal with your point StuW - do YOU know of anyone who is unaware of the deal on offer at Ewood? Because I don't ... working in Glasgow, London, Dublin Liverpool, Edinburgh - we used to spark interest with the players we signed, but none of the above clubs find any interest there now.

But they do know about our season tickets. THEY KNOW ABOUT OUR SEASON TICKETS!! You get in a Glasgow taxi and they know. You get in a Dublin taxi and THEY know. The marketing can't be that bad.

I wandered down to Ewood last Friday and asked, for my son, for one transfer and one new ST in the BBE and for the two seats to be together. A very helpful young lady took all the details and promised to call me - probably the middle of this week. On Monday morning she called offering us good seats and a choice of several pairs. She agreed to hold the seats for 24 hours and on Tuesday morning I went down and purchased them both. Excellent service.

On the other hand my youngest who is a lapsed ST holder has had no communication from the club. I've had no packs but renewed two more STs on deadline day but haven't a confirmation of this. My eldest recdeived two ST packs and a confirmation of his renewal. As said before we all have the same surname, address and consecutive customer numbers. I just think it's strange.

I am very clear on one thing - ask the ticket office to help and they will do so wherever they can.

Paul, are you moving to the BBE and deserting us in the JW Upper? What is wrong with the quality seats, and upper class company?

To follow on from Tris's post, how difficult is it to pick up the phone and ask. I get fed up with the times folk ask "How do I get in touch with so and so" when a little looking on the Official Website brings up the answer, or just simply phone the club switchboard and ask.

We have also bee discussing this on this very thread since the back end of March... How on earth can people find it difficult?

Got to agree with this - I actually have the Rovers switch board number programmed into my mobile in case I ever need to contact the club.

Also, I agree that the ticket office staff are extremely helpful. I'll never forget how the helped me out on the morning of an away match when I couldn't get hold of my ticket.

No I'm staying the same seats but my eldest wanted to go with a friend (new ST) and sit together, hence the transfer of his seat and the purchase of a new one.

When my dad and I bought season tickets, we had trouble purchasing them on the onerovers website hence we simply called the ticket office and bought them there. My dad said the staff were friendly and the process was simple.

If anyone has any problems buying season tickets, just call the ticket office.

I'm a bit stuck at the moment. Seen a couple of nice tartan blankets but can't find a flask to match.

This makes me laugh ... how many people on here slagged off the Darwen End deal, and then the above statement

And who 'slagged off' the Darwen end deal?,not me pal.I stand by what I say....the response to the fantastic Darwen end season ticket price has by poor at best to date by the Blackburn public.

How many extra season tickets do you think would be an acceptable figure for (a) BBE, JW and Riverside and then (B) DE?

I don’t think it’s enormously surprising that the Darwen End tickets haven’t sold to well. If your buying a season ticket you want a season ticket not 15 games, other areas are selling well. I know a few people who where waiting to see if anyone didn’t renew in the Blackburn end, one has bought a ticket BBE today.

The Darwen end season ticket isn’t aimed at people who want a full season ticket, but people who buy tickets for the odd game, so you would expect them to continue to sell into the first few games of the season. After all we will be into the New Year before it would be cheaper to buy match tickets on a game by game basis.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if the Blackburn End lower is full or nearly full after the weekend leaving only restricted views in the Riverside and Jack Walker available. That should encourage a few more Darwen End sales.

But the responce to the 199 pound season ticket ( 4 games more ) in other areas has been good so far but im glad youve got something to moan about on your fav subject of crowd bashing !

Spot on. My own situation would be a classic example. I really wanted a season ticket in the BBE lower, but took too long getting my act together, as I wasnt sure wether I wanted to make the commitment of travelling up from South London. After the transfer of seats, a few became available in the bbe lower, 1 of which I snapped up. But if that hadnt been the case, my next option would have been the Darwen end. As the bbe whould sell out in the next few days, the Darwen option is likely to become the only viable 1 for a lot of people. Im expecting quite a few sales in August through september, as probably eevery match day ticket sale at the ticket office is likley to be accompanied with 'you do realise that for only 120pnd more you can get 15 games'!
