On reflection, I've been a bit hasty in berating those posters that complained about DE season ticket prices.

Now that a good two-sides of the ground are virtually unavailable, let's hope JW relents, slashes the DE prices and encourages/herds as many of the 90% or so DHSS doonowts and lame duck, blue collar C2/D types in to that part of the ground. Otherwise they'll be infesting the other parts of Ewood, previously out-of-bounds.

Imagine spending the entire season sitting next to some semi-educated oik in hand-me-down, highly flammable and statically charged TJ Hughes sportswear, and now, by the looks of it, proudly sporting a brand spanking new Primark windcheater and reeking of stale Breezers?

Maybe they can sit on the steps in the BE, or the club can relay matches live outside Curry's?

It's still a great response Hughesy, given the football on show last season. If we take into account the sales to date, alongside the sales that we would have undoubtedly lost without the ST initiative, then the club should be well pleased with their promotion.

Three/four weeks to go before kick off, hopefully we will have the biggest ST total that I can remember. The season after we won the Prem, I think I'm right in saying we sold c17000 ST's.

I do believe it was nearer to 20,000 ST the season after we won the Premiership. To date NO area of Ewood is sold out.

Just remember... you are no better than anybody, just as they are no better than you. Before you ask I am not on the dole, I have a full-time job and am a ST holder, just cringe when people are stuck up there own a*se and think they are a cut above.

No text and no pack.... think I've upset someone at the club lol.

Mobile numbers been the same for 10 years and they've sent tickets to my home address before.

Haven't you got the message yet, how many hints do you need

Hope I'm sitting next to you.

Then I shall roll on to one bum cheek and let out a long, slow smelly fart in your direction.

I don't suppose anyone has a screen grab of the seats gone and left in the BBE do they, I can't get on the online ticket system and wondered if the seat next to me is gone now as it was empty for half of last season

I don't think that figure is too far off the mark, den. I heard that give or take a couple of hundred, the number sold hit the 20k mark. My mate's wife worked in the ticket office at the time.

Betcha you're wrong as well CLB. :D

I'm sticking to 17000 most we've ever sold.

95 96 we definately had around 20k season ticket holders, as the club threw in the chapions league home games.

I think you had to pay an extra £50 or something that upgraded the season ticket to include all home games - Champs league, FA cup and league cup. From memory anyway......

Champions league season tickets cost more. I remember queueing up for ages before the first game because Rovers had forgot to stick CL stickers on about 2000 people's season tickets to let them in.

Anyway I doubt we had 20k season ticket holders that year. Our first home game as Premiership Champions saw just 22,860 people weatch Rovers vs QPR. The first Champs League game there were 20,900 on.
