The planner is abit of a blag though - someone mentioned that the front 2 rows of the darwen end havent been sold, just blanked out - not sure if thats true, but it could happen in other areas of the ground too??

Either way it was 17,200 sunday/ monday and the club said we are selling between 20-40 a day on average.

Including the restricted View there are 234 seats in the RS

I remember in the days of winning the Prem you could hardly see an empty seat and they would give the attendance out at around 28-28500 ;)

Anyway whatever beats the transfer topic, but the planner can't be out by 3000.

Just done a very rough count....

For a start, in response to your previous 'panic' sign - im not panicking at all. I am merely stating the truth, you think we are destined to pull a big signing off. I am telling you now it will not happen. If it was to happen it would be done by now not the fannying about. Rovers are genuinely worried by their complete and utter defeat in trying to sign a big name forward so far. I have known for a while who they were looking at with their scouting movements and spending over a season on watching them practically every week and not making a move makes me wonder what the hell they are doing.

As for the season ticket erection you have - do you get out for a beer much? 17,000 or 20,000 wont make an effect on the results mate

In this morning's Lancashire Telegraph, Rovers confirm that 17500 season tickets have been sold which is 3500 up on last season. John Williams believes that one final push could see record breaking season ticket sales.

A big signing now could persuade people to buy a season ticket.

I know, its a shame those glory hunters didnt stick around and support the club. I think the attendance for the City game should be decent, hopefully around the 28k mark.

31,150.

Does this capacity include the boxes and the Centre area of the JW upper where there are no tickets available.

Just curious.

Possibly - although im not sure - I think it will include the centre corporate bits, but not sure about boxes.

17,500 thats a suprise  - Either way its good to see us just 1500 below target - lets hope we can sign 2 more players at least and like you say that might boost them further. 3500 increase at this stage is still quite good.

3500 increase at this stage is still quite good.

It's excellent - considering that we very well might have lost at least a couple of thousand after the last couple of season's performances.

Every credit to the board.

3 full weeks still to go till the start of the season, we need to sell around 500 a week to hit the boards target. Hopefully those extra 1500 all purchase in the darwen end lower.

Either way it looks like half of the bottom wont be sold to season ticket holders, unless there is a massive jump in sales.....what then happens with the bottom right hand side that is empty?? Match day sales at low prices? Away fans?

If we dont want away fans in there, then we need to see those 4500, 3 for £20 fans sign up to the deal!!

I may have missed this but did the club ever offer the DE ST holders the chance to pay £199 and for the four games they have to move, they get a ticket located in another part of the ground!

It is just going to look like a a poor away following in the DE lower tier. Not good, i thought it was brilliant having it pretty much full for the 3 4 £20 games. Maybe a early season offer to get them back in and then signed up?

This is the best chance in years we have had to get a large amount of season ticket holders, i hope it happens!

I remember seeing a post in the official site from Lee where he states the stand capacities which I have pasted below

Right, stop counting squares, here are the capacities:

Walkersteel Blackburn End Lower 4974

Walkersteel Blackburn End Family Stand 3184

WEC Group Darwen End Lower 4897

WEC Group Darwen End Upper 3143

Jack Walker Lower 2928

Jack Walker Upper 4884 (not including Directors, corporate or press seating)

Fraser Eagle Stand 5424

The above are the seats that can be sold to all supporters other than directors, corporate, dugout and press. If you include those seats then you get an extra 1720.

Giving a grand total of 31,154.

If we take the number of seats that 67splitscreen has counted as empty and a count of the sales in the Darwen End we shouldn’t be to far from a figure of total sales

4974 -35 =4939

3184 -467 =2717

4897 unknown =750

3143

2928 -620 =2308

4884 -1498 =3386

5424 -234 =5190

Total 19290

I don’t know if 67 included the bottom rows which are unavailable online any way, if they aren’t then we need to take off

BBE 173

RS 202

JW 257

Total 632

But that’s still 18,658 so maybe the online planner has seats showing as sold when their not or John Williams has released a sales figure that’s now out of date.

Well, I have to hold my hand up  According to the article above, our highest ST sales figure is "in the region" of 19000. So I was wrong with the 17000 figure. I suspect though, that the "in the region" figure is actually 18000+, - which makes me nearer the total, than those who said we had previously sold 20000.

:D

500 sold in the DE.

In the region of 19000 must mean above 18500.

Therefore those who said 20000 were closer than your guesstimate of 17000. ;)

Yeah, but 17000 didn't mean exactly 17000. It could have meant 17900. Therefore, that means I was closer.

I suspect that they will allow Away fans in that section. They can't drop the match day price because the whole point of the cheap season ticket offer was to allow them to fix a high matchday price for Away fans while keeping costs down for the home supporters. We need Away fans to be paying the £30 and £35 prices to help pay for the cheap season tickets which we are enjoying!

In the JW upper there are seats not sold to accomodate schools, sponsors etc. Look in the very end block near to the DE and the top of the Centre block near to the DE. Big chunks are greyed out.

The first 3 rows of the Riverside are not available online, neither are the first rows of the DE and JW lower.

Is 31,154 the actual capacity of the ground, as I have seen that figure and 31,367 on many occassions? If it is not 31,367 how come some websites say it is?
