If I was buying a ST for the DE, I'd be waiting until the last week in August before coughing up.

Don't forget the second home game ( first for the ST) is August 29.

I thought Darren Ender ST holders get a free ticket for the City game Aggy?

If I was going to get one (I'm in the BBE) I'd get it now, the more people who buy earlier the more likely that others will follow. Nothing like a little bit of supply and demand. Unfortunately we're some way off the tipping point when people start panicing and realise they may not get a ticket.

Still why wait? Why take the risk? What if Rovers decide to limit tickets to half the D End lower for the season due to low take up / people holding off for the wrong reasons?

Now that'd be a good rumour to start... "DE tickets in short supply" B)

OK then. Darwen End tickets are in short supply I've heard. It wouldn't surprise me if Rovers decide to just offer half the lower tier to our fans due to the slow take up. Of course I've just made this all up but it does make sense. If you're thinking of getting one I'd do it sooner rather than later.

One thing that may push sales - availability of the free tickets for the City match is subject to availability. To be honest - though it may be close to a sell out - I wouldn't imagine it will - but you never know 18 - 19k season ticket holders already and 8k reserved for City only leaves 4-5k for additional season ticket holders, corporate and walk on fans (I am sure I have seen a rumour we have to leave a % for "walk-ons"). Why take the risk - buy them now :D

Good point DMTP I bought my Darwen End season ticket when they came out and when I rang up the ticket office last Monday for my city ticket they asked me where i would like my free seat. As a one off I of course opted for upper tier Jack Walker stand for my freebie. Best view in the ground, not bad for nothing. If thats not an incentive to get a Darwen end ticket early I dont know what is. Got that ticket now and on the face it says £0.00

:lol::lol::lol:

CITY have SOLD OUT their allocation of the entire darwen end.

Big attendance must surely happen now.

Just looked on bluemoon too - they were on phones for 2 hours this morning to get tickets and there are a large number thinking of purchasing home area seats. So if you want your tickets, best to get them bought soon!!

Can away fans do this?? thought there had to be booking history with the club?

Some away fans have probably got a history at ewood though. There are plenty of City fans knocking around darwen too that could probably get hold of one.

If those 600+ from the DE havent got their tickets yet, then they best get on with it or they wont get a very good seat at all. Darwen End sold out, Riverside more or less sold out, Blackburn lower sold out.

I'm a City fan who also gets to some Rovers games. I'm registered on here because Rovers are my 2nd team as I grew up in Blackburn.

I got 3 tickets (1 adult, 2 juniors) in the City end today just before they sold out. Total cost £71 including booking fee. It was a nightmare getting through on the phones because we messed up the selling arrangements. Today was the first day they were available to any season ticket holder, rather than needing thousands of loyalty points (which I have but my kids don't). They went in 2 hours. That may not make much sense to you but it means the club were caught out by the demand. I reckon we would shift another 5000 tickets if they were available. Plenty will try to get in the Rovers end.

I had been seriously tempted to get a DE Lower S/T because I would only have to get to 4 or 5 Rovers games this season to make it worthwhile. In fact I still am thinking about getting one anyway. Is direct debit still an option? I may come to the Hibs game and sign up for one.

If you convert to a Rover then we might answer your question...

Say the following words if you can: "City are NOT a massive club!"

But of course we're MASSIVE fella! And getting more and more massive all the time (not sure that's a good thing)

I've probably been going to Rovers longer than a few on here and even had a Blackburn End season ticket in the Jim Smith/Howard Kendall era because my mam wouldn't allow me to travel to Manc on my own but she would let me walk down the hill from Higher Croft to Ewood... but my Dad brought me up to be a City fan and you can never change!

Their credit lines would be seriously affected if they took a DD out to py for the ticket and then cancelled it, financial regulations see to that !

In this day and age ruining your credit for the sake of £150 is hardly worthwhile is it ?

RJoe, forgive me mate, but how exactly are City massive ?

Is it the 40000 seater stadium that you DONT even own ?

Is it the stack of trophies in the past 25 years that makes you massive ?

Is it the fact that City are the original YOYO club that makes them massive ?

Or is the plain and simple money on offer to football mercenaries that makes the likes of Tevez and Adebayor pass the chance of European glory that makes you massive ?

City are going to take 5 years or more to challenge for the Premiership and thats only if the likes of Manure, Chelsea and Liverpool and Arsenal go backwards.

If they do make the Champs League, it will be at least 10years before you can even hope to challenge the second tier of Europes elite never mind the established clubs like Barca, Real, Inter, AC and the like.

But hey, good luck to you. You never know City just might quantify the tag of circus club just like Newcastle United have should your forthcoming season fall flat on its ar$e. I say, if you cant beat Barnsley then what hope have you for beating hard fighting clubs in the top league ?
