Doesn't seem much point as the forum answer (18000) seems it dispel all previous counts and insider info by ay least 500 - 1000

I agree but if anyone really has too much time on their hands they can count the sales in the Darwen End - the last count of 798 agrees with the club's figure of "just about 800". As for me, I already have a life.... ^_^

It's not mate, we haven't played on Christmas Day for years...

For anyone who hasn't thought of getting a season ticket this year, now is the time to act. I know the club have tried to keep it quiet but I've just seen an advert on Sky. The new season starts this Saturday. What a shambles.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT

You mean This Saturday coming - August 15th

Thanks for the sarcasm Doogs :)

It's not like they put any info with the season ticket, I work the same hours as the ticket office is open so calling is a pain in the arse but I'll try that. Plus I live in Lancaster, Blackburn is a good half hour drive.

Edit: you guys got info with yours? Fix!! Hehe. Well there's always the internet if I can't get one (you didn't hear that from me)

Ring the ticket office - you will get one, they haven't annouced that they have all gone.

As for the official ST figures - its not as high as 18,600, its more around the 18k mark.

I'd say we were fairly well informed...

if the ticket office is still there! :o i rang them at about 20 past 5 tonight and got my sunderland ticket. then the fire alarm went off and they evacuated!

That fire alarm is soooo annoying, it is forever going off.

All I hear from my house is, "It is now safe to re-enter the building."

I was hoping to catch Rovers out as I thought that we were in talks with a new signing as there has been posh cars around all day. When everyone got evacuated Big Sam came out on his own and got in his car and drove off.

Interesting note to point out.

Our 14,000 season ticket sales last season, includes half-season tickets of which we sold 300 (due to best home fixtures at home early & awful league start) - if we can get back to normal levels this season of around 500 then that will see us to 18,500 season ticket holders + whatever we sell in the next couple of weeks.

So that represents around a 32% increase in ST holders this season already!!!

Also - City @ home is expected to be very close to a sell-out, if not a complete sell out!! So if your planning on getting a ticket, id do it now and not wait much longer..........

It says 1800 tickets left

But considering we have 18,000 seats taken plus 8,000 city fans equaling 26,000, Then we have only really sold half of the 4,000 that went on sale...

Most walk-on ticket sales happen in the last couple of days before the match so I think there is a genuine chance that the game could sell out. I certainly wouldn't want to rely on picking up a ticket at the ground on Saturday (unless you want to give a big wedge to a scally tout).

Still seems like a very large proportion of sales, almost 50% in 3 days from 3 weeks of being on sale.

still no ST in the post, so i rang the TO again (like they told me to on monday) and when they finally answered (was waiting with that stupid silenced thing-they should have it ringing or some tuneage playing) and i explained why i was called the guy said it must if been his 20th call so far today. anyway he had a check off my account and confirmed it was sent on monday and to wait untill friday, if nothing comes to ring them again and they will sort me a match day ticket for my seat.

quick question to anyone who has recived theirs, do they sent them via 2nd class post?

Posted

1800 tickets at the start of yesterday isnt alot. On the day walk ons will usually be at least half of that wont they? I would imagine come Saturday there will be very few seats remaining...

Posted

I'd be very worried if any walk on tickets were sold on the day Hughesey. Surely it's asking for trouble when we're going to overun with city scumbags

I don't know about 2nd class postage. More likely to be one of these given our current finances:

Glory hunters

They've never brought a decent following in recent times, promotion season win apart.

Also the cup quarter final a couple of years back, but yeah they rarely sell out in the league.

Think they will be.

Only says that they wont be sale on the day in the MALL store - doesnt mention at ewood......

Anyway just done a quick check on onerovers - around 1100 still remaining.

Around 800 of which are in the outer areas of the Jack Walker upper and the Blackburn End Upper.

There are also around 160 seats left in the Jack Walker lower - but they are mainly in the outer wing near to the away end!

Last night's lancs telegraph reported that the club have announced just under 19k season tickets had been sold. Obviously a descrepancy to what the club's representatives said at the fans forum.

given that we were at 17.5k a couple of weeks ago, i was surprised with the 18 k figure quoted at the forum

Posted

The 18k is due to cancellations. We have had plenty of new ones since the 17.5 figure but the club also get people who fail their direct debits etc....so it has balanced out really, hence no massive jump in number lately.

City mugs think we have given them more seats

On sale today

Someone care to point out that they aint getting anything other than the Darwen End?

Also lots of away fans in home ends it seems - There's going to be trouble if they kick off again like the Promotion year!!

Posted

It's confirmed on the City website www.mcfc.co.uk but says it is only a limited number. Rovers must have left some DE seats unsold and have now decided to release them. either that or they have given them the currently more or less empty end block of the JW lower (I would imagine the former though)

I had the same performance as you when I rang the ticket office on Monday, and was told by the youg lady that My ticket was one that had been processed for posting on Sunday, but would only go out in the post on Monday (i.e that day). Then early on Tuesday morning it dropped through my letter box :) So that was my panic over. Oh and to answer your question: Mine had a first class stamp on it.
