Andrew Berry Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Hi, I run the Blackburn Rovers Supporters FC (A few of the people here might know of us), I am finding out if we can get people together and if so, we would definately enter a team. Can you PM me a contact number so I can confirm tonight if we can enter a team. Cheers Andy
Ricky Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Andrew, Simon's number is on the Advert above. Give him a call and I'm sure he'll be able to sort you out.
Andrew Berry Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 The image is blocked at work. I was a tad confused haha! I'll be able to see it when I get home!
Andrew Berry Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Magically it has reappeared I have text him to ask if we can get a team in, so hopefully we can.
Tris Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 We've got a team in (called the Kerimoglus). Will have played 90 mins in the morning though (just getting excuses in early )
Andrew Berry Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Blackburn Rovers Supporters FC are in too! Looking forward to it!
rover_groo Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Again many thanks for the persons for getting back to me in relation to this event. Details are again: - BR CHARITY SUPPORTERS 5 A-SIDE COMPETITION REVISED TEAMS TAKING PART • Blackburn Rovers Supporters FC • Elite Hardware FC • Irish Rovers • Jason Roberts Foundation Select • Lancashire Evening Telegraph • Northern Ireland Branch ‘A’ • Northern Ireland Branch ‘B’ • Norwegian Branch 'A' • Norwegian Branch 'B' • Paul Agnew Public Relations • The Kerimoglu's • The Torrents • You'll never see us coming FC Can everyone confirm, as to how many members per team that they have playing. This is to cater for approximate numbers for the buffet afterwards. This should turn out to be a great day's craic and I think we are also going to get an inflatable target set-up (as per SoccerAM), to put your level of skill into practice. Again there will be prizes for this and again all proceeds to JR Foundation. If anyone else is nterested in playing, but cannot enter a team, then please let me know and I can get you lined up in a team if requested.
rover_groo Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Thank you all for your interest and of course supporting this event. It is very much appreciated and it's in aid of a great cause. I will give you all an update on our return and don't worry, no point in taking odds on Northern Ireland winning the competition as there isn't a chance we could lift the trophy. All the best. Simon. Andrew, Simon's number is on the Advert above. Give him a call and I'm sure he'll be able to sort you out. Thanks for assisting Ricky. Good luck for the big occasion in the coming weeks and speak shortly. If not, then next season!
roversmum Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Good stuff, Groo. Hope everyone has a good time and a successful day.
modes98 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 no point in taking odds on Northern Ireland winning the competition as there isn't a chance we could lift the trophy. Nope, Norway shall be lifting the cup once more!
American Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I'd also recommend coming down just to hang out and watch, even if you aren't going to be playing.
Ste B Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Just back from watching up there. Good to see Jason Roberts, Jason Brown and Chris Samba turned up to start proceedings off. Think the Kerimoglus need to get new owners mind.
pksrover Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Who won? Was meant to play, but had to change plans this weekend.
modes98 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 The Torrents with the Referee in their pockets! lol! Norway A & B made it to the last 8 and Northern Ireland to the last 4....
Andrew Berry Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Simon and whoever else was involed in organising it deserve a hell of alot of credit. It was a great day, plua I managed to win a Roberts top too!
