andyroversmad Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 M'Bami is a straight forward defensive midfielder... I'm not sure if Grella is Sam's type of player... If he's looking at all these midfield options then I think Grella's days might be numbered. Fernadez is the way forward from a creative midfield point of view... M'Bami & M'bia... Tuncay is a possibility but his wages will be the stumbling block, as im sure his old club in turkey would have him back & pay good money for him. Thats what i thought, thats why i was saying he cant be the Tugay replacement. We need someone will a killer pass

Hi Mack Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Last season i just didnt trust Ince with signings....... With Sam though i feel as though he knows what he wants and he knows who he wants. If we can get a few players in early on it will be an advantage as we can have a near settled squad come KO next season.
patrickvalery Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Cisse available on loan next year. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/default.stm

Lathund Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Wonder if the myster striker could be someone like Totti? not sure he was liked with at turf tho! I don't have a hat, but if I did I'd eat it if Totti ever played for a team other than Roma. The day he leaves Roma is the day he retires. Fantastic player, sadly criminally underrated outside Italy, and in England especially.
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Cisse available on loan next year. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/default.stm No thanks

Fantastic player, sadly criminally underrated outside Italy, and in England especially. Or perhaps criminally overrated within Italy. Done eff all in the Champions League and been a failure for the Azurri. Only does it in Serie A.
hi-jaq Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Thats what i thought, thats why i was saying he cant be the Tugay replacement. We need someone will a killer pass That would be Matias Fernandez... Extremley technically gifted young footballer... looks for gaps & space with forward passes, and picks out movement well, its not often that you will see him play a square ball, dont think his brain works that way, he's top quality!!!
Billy Castell Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 So this mystery striker.................. 1. Once linked with Burnley 2. Young 3. A bit leftfield but a good name Who'd that be? i would not have a clue.

I wouldnt get too excited fellas even if its legit....... anyone linked with Burnley aint going to be a world beater. Take the "Burnley link" out of the equation then it may well be interesting.
Billy Castell Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Probably is a load of crap from our Burnley supporting journo. And I wouldn't loan Cisse either. Wages too high for what he is. Speaking of Sunderland, can someone tell me why Kenwyne Jones is allegedly worth £20m?
LeChuck Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Probably is a load of crap from our Burnley supporting journo. I think he was getting accused of similar things when he told the Andrews/Fowler stories last summer...

Hi Mack Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Hang on here a min.......... Dont discount Cisse totally, if Ince had mentioned him last season after his sh1tty signings it would have seemed amazing. If Sam gets a few decent players in then no to Cisse but if The transfer window doesnt go to plan we could do worse than Cisse. Alot worse.
T4E Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 4. And is better than Kurayni and Zaki This is subjective. In Nicko's opinion he's better than Kuranyi and Zaki. In Nicko's opinion Graham Alexander is better than Tugay. Pinch of salt time.

Scott Sinclair fits everything if nicko considers him to be better than those two. I'd be delighted if it was, he's a massive talent with a lot things we lack...notably pace and skill. He's very rough around the edges but so was Bentley when he arrived, and I think Sinclair has more natural ability of the two.

He also fits the description. (He previously played in the Championship on loan for Plymouth)
nicko Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Are yu really expecting anyone to agree with you? Not really giving one. But if you compare the old and infirm fringe men of your squad with a team that ripped up history books then expect a wee backlash.
Hi Mack Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Alexander. Better than Tugay last season...and better next obviously. ...................................................................... Any movement on any deals today Mr Nixon?
