nicko Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nicko, how much truth is their in the M'bami story? Sam wanted to see him for a final check...hasn't played since. Nicko - whats the fee for Zurab? Not sure, but it would have to be in the £1 million category.

Majiball Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Scholes to stoke???? surely not, I would have thought United would have trained him up as a coach.
nicko Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nicko - In the light of the new Dawn in politics and more ethical dealings on expenses and activities, is it not time you came up for re-selection? You seem to be playing both sides of East lancashire. The new reality in our little part of Lancashire is that there is the Blue Party and the 6-Finger Party(aka Coylistas). Do you think you can operate sitting on the fence - it can get very wet and windy in these parts. Have you got a colleague or an alternative to take over from you as you move in to the new(?) shed or Media Centre at Turd Moor? I don't sit on fences...I crush them.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Sam wanted to see him for a final check...hasn't played since. Is that a last check to make sure we're not missing anything before saying "No thanks", or last check as in one last look before we get the chequebook out?
Hughesy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Not sure, but it would have to be in the £1 million category. £1m? Danny Shittu was signed by bolton for £2m, why would he go for less than him???
nicko Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Is that a last check to make sure we're not missing anything before saying "No thanks", or last check as in one last look before we get the chequebook out? I think M'Bami is a player of interest because he is a free and has been around for a while. But Sam would want to see if he still has the engine to play in the Prem. He is small, so he has to show he can be physically able in other ways. This one is a possible rather than a probable.

budha Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 £1m? Danny Shittu was signed by bolton for £2m, why would he go for less than him??? He's not going to Bolton?
T4E Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Anybody else continually getting M'Bami and M'Bai mixed up? The way I remember it is the one with the second M plays for Marseille.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I hope we sign M'Bami if only for a little variation in "Barmy Army". And that's a pretty easy way to remember it now, cheers T4E. Rather interesting that M'Bami's agent appears to be Willy McKay.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 He was on loan at Barnsley I think, apparently they are delighted to be shut of him.
T4E Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Rather interesting that M'Bami's agent appears to be Willy McKay. Done deal then?
neophox Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Is there any possibility to sign Obafemi Martins who I believe is a quality player with a lot of pace. He would be perfect to have in a 4-3-3 role on the wing. Also Sam has worked with Kevin Nolan but he's on a new contract and would be expensive.
thenodrog Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I don't sit on fences...I crush them. ! You should change your boardname to Fatal then.
mckenny16 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I don't sit on fences...I crush them. Did anyone else imagine Nicko saying this in a deep voice with a Russian accent. Think Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.
John Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Argentinian defender Renato Civelli, also from Marseille, has been watched by Rovers but, despite being available on a free transfer, his high wages mean the club are unlikely to further their interest.
duffbear Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 A very classy Bentley with the most amazing wheels ever! Best in the car park and was parked right next to the chrome machine. Tugay owns a Black Bentley
unluckymorton Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Tugay owns a Black Bentley And a black Range Rover
budha Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Argentinian defender Renato Civelli, also from Marseille, has been watched by Rovers but, despite being available on a free transfer, his high wages mean the club are unlikely to further their interest. The Lancashire Telegraph understand the clause that allows the Paraguayan to leave Ewood for £20million this summer expires in early July
nicko Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Rather interesting that M'Bami's agent appears to be Willy McKay. He is not. Argentinian defender Renato Civelli, also from Marseille, has been watched by Rovers but, despite being available on a free transfer, his high wages mean the club are unlikely to further their interest. So, negotiations have started...
T4E Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Tal Ben Haim has gone back to City as Sunderland haven't taken up their option. Wonder if Sam will have a nibble at that one.
Guest benmaxwell Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I know were looking for free transfers, but i wish the club would look at Lorik Cana... He is a far better all-round player then Modeste M'bami...
DasGelb Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I know were looking for free transfers, but i wish the club would look at Lorik Cana... He is a far better all-round player then Modeste M'bami... But Cana is quoted at 10 million-ish, and M´Bami is free. Wonder who Rovers will try for
Hughesy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Cana is out of our price range, without a doubt. It will be interesting to see if anyone else does any deal anytime soon, most clubs usually take ages in the summer, but Sam seems keen to get it all done asap. Although iv heard Bolton are in talks with a defender about a move (not sure who). Wish some clown would come and bid £20m for RSC.
