Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Aguero is worth more than 20m. A lot more. The Express are a bit closer to his real valuation: The former Italian midfielder is also targeting Atletico Madrid's £50m-rated striker Sergio Aguero. (Full story: Daily Express)

modes98 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 He would also cost around £20m I think the phrase and the rest comes to mind. I've seen figures of £50m in the papers, not to say that's accurate, but the guy is very highly thought of.
ROVERS Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 warnock leaving is definetly worrying me.......... Back to the mystery striker, Nicko, just 1 question, what type of striker is he? a huge target man? (Samba, Alves), a berbatov type of striker? (Flair) a Bellamy type of striker? (Pace), or a Van nisterooy type of striker? (Fox in the box) Just needa know this so as to have an idea of what type of play style Big Sam is planning to use for next season. Hope its not another roberts type of striker
Ewood and I Would Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Why are we even discussing Aguero and Forlan? Might as well speculate that Kaka and Messi are on their way to Ewood... I know this isn't the most solid reason in the World but if we were looking to sell Warnock would we have used him to advertise the new kit?
AggyBlue Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Why are we even discussing Aguero and Forlan? Might as well speculate that Kaka and Messi are on their way to Ewood... It's the reason this thread is painful to read through. Speculation and suggested signings should belong in another thread, leave this thread solid information.
Ewood and I Would Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Civelli has declared his time at Marseille is over and he wants a move to England or Spain.... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_5358151,00.html On that, any more news on M'bami? Last I heard Everton were sniffing around too...
Majiball Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Might as well speculate that Kaka and Messi are on their way to Ewood... Are they???? Get in, I'm off to get a tattoo done!!!!! It's the reason this thread is painful to read through. Speculation and suggested signings should belong in another thread, leave this thread solid information. Great idea, I don't mind the speculating but reading through 7 pages for the good bits is tiresome. Whats it going to be like once the window opens???
roverseas Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 He won the Golden Shoe this year with 32 league goals, miles ahead of anyone in the Premier League. Oddly enough I believe Marc Janko came second. Apparently it gives more "points" if you play in a higher rated league (which makes sense in a way). Shame for Janko though.
Backroom DE. Posted June 1, 2009 Backroom Posted June 1, 2009 Wasn't a thread made last year that just took the good bits from Nicko's thread, leaving out any speculation? Maybe a similar thread will be made this year.
vizcaya Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I know this isn't the most solid reason in the World but if we were looking to sell Warnock would we have used him to advertise the new kit? Well, I think that has happened before, I remember that a certain mr A. Shearer advertised our new kit in 96..
Backroom Tom Posted June 1, 2009 Backroom Posted June 1, 2009 On the Warnock thing when we saw him at the WBA game my mate said will we see you next season and he responded with 'Until I'm told otherwise' I personally think he's off but he's not too bothered either way
callumrovers Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Mystery Striker anyone? Gonzalo Higuaín-Big, french, but plays for Real Madrid, have my doubts Guillaume Hoarau- big and a prolific goal scorer from the french leauge and only 25
callumrovers Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I know he was born in France, but he might play for Argentina
ben_the_beast Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Isnt Higuain Argentinian ? Half french half argie
Guest benmaxwell Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Isnt Higuain Argentinian ? Not unless Brest has suddenly shifted away from France...? He holds a French passport... Can't see him coming here though. From Real Madrid to Blackburn Rovers... I can see the headlines now...
roverseas Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 He's an argentinian born in France. But no need even talking about him, it's as unlikely as Agüero...
callumrovers Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I have a feeling it could be this guy tho -Guillaume Hoarau Has been linked to a few English clubs aswel, Coyle might of taken a look at him....
Ewood and I Would Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 On the Warnock thing when we saw him at the WBA game my mate said will we see you next season and he responded with 'Until I'm told otherwise' I personally think he's off but he's not too bothered either way So the man told you himself he won't be leaving unless he's pushed (effectively) and you still think he'll be off????? Unless you think Sam is looking to offload him....
RoverRich Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillaume_Hoarau His wikipedia page says that us, Arsenal and Chelsea have looked at him in the past so you could be onto something there. 6ft 4in and a decent goal scorer. Would not be a bad signing...
alexanders Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 He signed for PSG January 2008 ie he is under contract. He also has been playing regularly and has been a good player for them. Doubt this is the mystery striker. because I think he will be out of price-range without selling RSC.
callumrovers Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 PSG only paid €500,000 for him, he cant be that expensive
callumrovers Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Plus it would match what Nicko was saying about the need for hush..... If Chelsea and Arsenal are interested and they found out he was avaliable, it would scupper our deal
Commondore Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Stoke are closing in on the signing of Real Mallorca's £5million-rated Venezuela international midfielder Juan Arango, who is a free-kick specialist. I wonder if Sam has checked him out. I can't imagine a stranger match that Arango and Stoke, he's a football wizard and theyr'e a team who would play their groundsman if he were taller than 1.85 cm and heavier than 85 kilos!
Stuart Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 It's the reason this thread is painful to read through. Speculation and suggested signings should belong in another thread, leave this thread solid information. And the irony is that when we do sign someone new he'll have his own thread straight away!
