ni_rover Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 We best get signing some more freebies and loan players then. Sam should try for Rafael on loan. Do you mean Rafael from United? Surely he would be classed as an imortant member of their team next season. I would love to have him though.

doctorryan Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 May - in this case, meaning 'if the price is right.' Would be silly to imagine otherwise. See...............now that was phrased more precisely. Much better Alan.

Yeah thats what I was thinking - give him a full season worth of experience. Although I agree it could be difficult getting Fergie to let him out. They do still have Brown & Neville though......Oh and Danny Simson!!
yankrover Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I have a feeling that Danny Simpson will be available on the cheap . . .
RevidgeBlue Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Revidge, please do explain how a usually rational poster comes out with such nonsense? If a club bid for one of our players, do you not expect it to be reported? Unless of course you had proof that it never happened - if so, lets hear it. Please provide any link or any corroborative evidence you have to any Newcastle bid for Warnock last summer. Other than nicko saying "The Newcastle thing won't go away etc."
Iceman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Seiterides on free, yes please. That would be a midfielder free, right back free. We still wouldnt have spent anything on transfer money. Ship Cruz out to Spurs for say 10mill plus Bent , and we get a striker and can then spend on maybe a classy midfielder. Easy, hmmm glad im not the manager.

They do still have Brown & Neville though......Oh and Danny Simson!! I reckon Neville will be making a short trip to join his brother at Everton..........

Other than nicko saying "The Newcastle thing won't go away etc." Revidge - I don't need to prove anything either way, as I'm not making any strongly opinionated comments on the matter. You on the other hand are - its up to you to prove that you're right. I on the other hand will continue to read Nicko's posts, appreciate the info and wait to see what comes out without making judgements either way. I certainly wont accuse him of having any agenda.
nicko Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Please provide any link or any corroborative evidence you have to any Newcastle bid for Warnock last summer. Other than nicko saying "The Newcastle thing won't go away etc." Check back a year ago and you will find countless stories about Newcastle trying and failing for Warnock. Take your time over it.
RevidgeBlue Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 May - in this case, meaning 'if the price is right.' Would be silly to imagine otherwise. Surely every player is available if a completely ridiculous offer came in. That doesn't mean to say the manager is actively trying to get rid of said player and it's more than a bit mischievous to potentially unsettle him by suggesting otherwise.

Keep clocking these up...you were very good on the same kind of whineing routine in the past. Like the moves in and out and the manager's future. Then see what happens in the end. I'm very comfortable with that.

How do you expect me to "prove" something I'm saying doesn't exist? And you're accusing me of making "stupid" posts!.
T4E Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 How do you expect me to "prove" something I'm saying doesn't exist? And you're accusing me of making "stupid" posts!. Thats exactly the point - you've put yourself in a position where you can be accusational without needing to back it up in any way. I'm asking you to prove that Nicko made it up to get Warnock out. Surely you wouldnt make such an accusation without atleast something to base it on?
roversmad95 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Cruz is going to still be here come August guys. Get used to it. i dont see that as a bad thing if we can get him fit and scoring goals.... im sure BS would like him to stay and bang some goals in.... but i think we should of sold him last jan.... oh well with hindsight lol.....
elv2k21 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 How do you expect me to "prove" something I'm saying doesn't exist? And you're accusing me of making "stupid" posts!. For starters: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...s-together.html & http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...ock-869565.html Definite interest I would say...

Then see what happens in the end. I'm very comfortable with that. I note you avoided answering my point completely. As for what happens in the end - Warnock didn't move anywhere last summer so you're not starting from a position of strength there. Your timescale on Andrews was wrong but you eventually turned out to be right when we finally got the price down to what we wanted and I gave you due credit for that at the time. As with any other story on which you are correct. Edit: Of course "in the end" you will eventually be right. Everyone moves on eventually.

That doesn't mean to say the manager is actively trying to get rid of said player and it's more than a bit mischievous to potentially unsettle him by suggesting otherwise. Warnock is the name that keeps coming up in this certain subject (players who may be considered to be sold) because lets face it, Him, Samba and Roque are the only players that any bugger will bid for... No-one has suggested that Big Sam is actively looking to sell anyone, it's just a case of a reporter asking "if a big bid came in for warnock would you accept it?" and he probably would answer "I MAY consider it" chinese wispers...
kandi Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Nicko. What would you say are the chances of Roque leaving the club this summer... Behind the scenes i have heard that his agent is actively pushing his profile on other teams, and Roque is aiming to reunite with Sparky at Man City... Roque works hard every day to get fit for pre-season..
RevidgeBlue Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 For starters: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...s-together.html & http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...ock-869565.html Definite interest I would say... Those two articles indicated Ince didn't want to sell to sell Warnock and that a bid from Newcastle may have been made and was rejected. Hardly indicative of any desire on our part to sell him.
nicko Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Your timescale on Andrews was wrong but you eventually turned out to be right. Hilarious...
rovers1995 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Let's get back on track instead of petty arguing. Nicko, has there been any progress today in regards to Blackburn? I've heard rumous of interest in Hernan Crespo - can't see it myself though.

I've heard rumous of interest in Hernan Crespo - can't see it myself though. Seconded. If people want to send bitchy messages can you do it via PM? Sorry if this has been asked before, but is the 'mystery striker' dependent on shipping out Roque.
T4E Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Sorry if this has been asked before, but is the 'mystery striker' dependent on shipping out Roque. Yes it has been asked, and no it doesn't.
