Plus Mowbray to Celtic now seems inevitable...Coyley not for turning.

Which means West Brom and Swansea will be looking for managers soon.

I honestly think it is done and agreed by all parties...it's bound to be some technicality about money changing hands. I would take that one as being a done deal.

Apparently, Givet's two week old baby daughter is ill in hospital so they are not going to announce the signing until she is fine. Get well soon.

As anyone around last year would tell you...Newcastle made two or maybe three bids for Warnock...all were too low...why they kept trying is something for you to figure out yourself...

If we can get decent cash for Warnock, on top of what we pay for Givet - then I'd be tempted to take it. God knows how he won player of the year! One of our most inconsistent performers - Wigan away / WBA at home anyone?

Don't think much of the first deal - a winger who failed in Denmark and wasn't exactly scintillating in Belgium - but he shouldn't be on massive wages.

I'd like to hope that we are going for some real quality this summer - but am worried that it wont happen.

Don't you think the player would be equally unsettled now by your comment today that the current manager would sell when I'm presuming what you really mean is not that the manager is actively trying to sell him but that every player has his price?

The manager would sell Warnock at the right price because that is football...in this case Rovers have signed a player who will be left back next season...they are also a club needing to balance the books...and there is a club with cash and an interest in him.

Young master Warnock is nobody's fool. He will know the script about this - without needing to wade through this messageboard.

Givet looks better at left back...Warnock was hit-and-miss in midfield.

Stunned he got player of the year with Samba around.

Stunned he got player of the year with Samba around.

Samba did well upfront but towards the end but he had some shaky games during the Ince period and even under Allardyce at the back. Apart from Wigan away, Warnock was solid all season and worked his backside off no matter what position he was played in.

Regardless, next season I wold want both these players back in their 'natural' positions and concentrate on completely revamping the midfield.
