herbergeehh Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 In a word, no. Nolan went, Kane didn't come through. Nothing else in sight. What about Gunning?

Fylde Coast Fan Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Barely two weeks since the season ended and I'm already sick of agents sticking pins in the league table and coming up with us to link their hopeless rejects with. I fully expect to read this in at least one newspaper tomorrow, regardless of the veracity of this agent's claims.
Guest benmaxwell Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Agreed, some sillycomments do turn up now and again, like you, I am interested in the future of OUR club and its possibble transfer targets! You seemed pretty positive a second signing was imminent, any news on this?? I heard we were pretty close to putting in a firm offer for Chimbonda, a deal that would have been pushed through pretty quick by Spurs, but something else has come up on the RB front. Will PM you with what i have heard, as i think the board can do without the 'Southern Press' and me putting in an effort...

Interesting - I'd rather we didn't go for Chimbonda, I'm not sure if he could get back to his Wigan form and I'm sure his wages must be pretty high at Spurs. Is the new target currently at a Premier League club?
rovers1995 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 http://www.talktransfers.net/man-city-prep...class-strikers/ Apparently, Man City are reported to be offering £25 million for Roque. Can't see it myself. However, on the official rovers website, someone is reporting that their mates mum works at Ewood and Roque has now told Big Sam that he wants to stay. If true is this why his new quotes have come out that he isn't speaking about his future.
Backroom Tom Posted June 4, 2009 Backroom Posted June 4, 2009 Why would City bid £5million more than his release fee
Exiled_Rover Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Especially after dicking us around during January...
Fylde Coast Fan Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Only way I can see City coming in for Roque is on the last day of the window if about six other targets turn them down. Dzeko is the latest passenger on that rollercoaster.
roversmad95 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Stephane Mbia - Defensive Midfielder - Rennes - The 23-year-old starlet has put Arsenal and Everton on red alert after being told he can leave the Ligue 1 side should a suitable offer arrive. Cameroon enforcer Mbia, who has been capped 12 times by his country, is rumoured to have an exit clause of £6million should a club come in for him. i think 6 million would be out of our price range....

He's exactly the type of player that we need in midfield. We should forget about Alan Smith and put the money toward Mbia!
Rover down South Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Nicko, I read somewhere on the internet (can't find it now to provide a link) that Valencia are going to be selling a load of their players? Anyone worth a look, apart from David Villa & David Silva (although both are welcome at Ewood!) I know we were linked with Joaquin last summer.
RoyRover Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Dzeko is the latest passenger on that rollercoaster. Edin Dzeko better staying where he is. He's just had a great season, he could end up going to Bayern Munich and sitting on the bench or coming to the Premier League too soon and flopping. City are just after anyone with two legs. If the likes of Tevez, Et'o or Dzeko leave for City, after all being on league winning sides, then money will be the reason.
philipl Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Quick trawl of the press this morning involving Rovers- Bojan staying at Barca and not going out on loan Derbyshire transfer to Olympiacos on point of collapse over Rovers' £5m price
Hughesy Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I dont believe the Derbs deal is on the brink of collapse - think that is the work of his agent & Olympiakos. They have massive pressure to sign Matty from the fans, so we shall see. £4m and he will go!
alexanders Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I would like this guy to Ewood Park. Looks as a Solskjaer type of player. Born goalscorer.
Ewood and I Would Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 According to the LET "Newcastle United midfielder Alan Smith is not on Rovers’ wish-list, despite reports yesterday linking him with a £2.5million move to Ewood"
hi-jaq Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Is there any truth in this Amir Zaki speculation, according to Vital Football, Sam Allardyce will be signing him on a permanent deal sometime in the next few days... Whats the deal here, does anyone know???

Whats the deal here, does anyone know??? No... His agent is putting out rumours of a £7million pound move being imminent to stur up interest. The sad thing is, nobody is interested so it looks likely he is going to end up looking silly... Would have probably been move believable if he had chosen another team who had £7 million to spend on one player!
Ewood and I Would Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Olsson denies wanting away.... http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-s...97319-23794999/
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I would like this guy to Ewood Park. Looks as a Solskjaer type of player. Born goalscorer. Coyle was after him but I think he's been mentioned before so he isn't the mystery man.
LeChuck Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Aren't players either going to be away with international teams or on holiday with their families? I can't see much happening for the next couple of weeks, apart from maybe a scramble to sign Bosman players.
