I do think it's a little premature for fans to be "encouraged" by the style of play during pre-season. It's all about getting everyone up to speed for the year ahead. When competitive football resumes, points win prizes, and Sam's reputation is at stake, I'm sure we'll see a return to % football. That's no dig at the manager; I'm just trying to avoid a false dawn.

Agree, there will be no change to the style of football we play. Its all about results and picking up points.

Anyone watching this game? What's happening?

Why can't we have a live stream for the pre-season games on the official site like some of the other clubs (Man City, Arsenal) do...?

First 45 min game finished, 0-0 with Nacional.

Just going off the live text from the official site, we seemed to enjoy plenty of possession, but lacked a cutting edge up-front (hardly a surprise!)

Why have we played Nacional and not Martimo? I was sure we were meant to play Martimo and it says that we were supposed to play them earlier on this thread.

They cancelled on us late in the day.

Few players appearing in both 45 min games - Olsson, Andrews and Benni Mac. Robbo back in between the sticks too!
