LDRover Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Totally echo the previous sentiments. Having a fat head isn't enough anymore, the tache has to return...I can take or leave gum chewing.

Captain Spaulding Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I've just been on the blower - if all fails, we've now got Bob Carolgees waiting in the wings, and he's promished never to shave it.
Ben-2000 Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Yes, agreed... BRING BACK THE TASH SAM (oh and a striker please!)
bazza Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 How come American Rover 12 can post a link to LET'S FIFA 09 which gives a full report on the Split v Rovers game at 20.00 hours and then other posts of during the game seem to come afterwards??

Ste B Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I know it's the lowest form of wit I just can't help myself. It's just about fitness at this stage. You making sure your sarcasm is well practised before the City game ?
bob fleming Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Having a fat head isn't enough anymore, the tache has to return...I can take or leave gum chewing. Exactly. The gum chewing can come later, I doubt it'll be a problem anyway. The priority has to be the tache and that needs to start now if there is anyway remotely possible that it will be ready for the City game. Sure, Sam may look a little silly at the Leeds and Sheff Weds matches, ("Has he run out of blades?" "Bum fluff" that sort of thing) but I think it's safe to say that by the time we play Dundee it should be firmly in place (and not a stick on replica either).
tuzla Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 here is the report from the last night game in SPLIT http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/hajduk-sr...ini/442256.aspx it is on Croatian

gumboots Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 How's your Croation Gumboots? sorry my sister is the Eastern European languages specialist!
tuzla Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 you can use http://translate.google.com/# to translate from Croatian to English http://translate.google.com/translate?prev...history_state0= I konw it is terrible translated but you can see Pictures and Videos the important thing is that Christian Vier did not play and that he is sent home so he will not sign any contract with Blackburn Rovers
thenodrog Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I think we're being harsh on Brown, the first goal was a rocket and the second took a big deflection it looked like. He also made a world class save between the 2 goals. Beaten on the near post from 25 yards? Not good for a keeper. BUT the major damage was done by Dunny's shyte control in the middle of the park..... Only beaten by Riise's for our first. Oh and btw Pedersons penalty was the best penalty that I have seen taken by a Rovers player since Shearer was here.
unleaded Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 They already look tired!...............The goalscorer is worth bringing over for a trial.............
thenodrog Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Unless there was a deflection I could have stopped that shot without using my hands.
AggyBlue Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Unless there was a deflection I could have stopped that shot without using my hands. I reckon you could stop most goal attempts without using your hands. Just use your head Sorry gord, stop setting yourself up

Others no doubt will add appropriate comments 'drog.
Backroom Tom Posted July 19, 2009 Backroom Posted July 19, 2009 I thought part of the blame for the goal v Roma should be with Gally, he belted a ball at someone else from about 4 yards away causing a move to break down. It was a series of errors really And yes Pedersens penalty was unstoppable although it looked to be going wide
philipl Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 They already look tired!...............The goalscorer is worth bringing over for a trial............. What on earth happened with that goal? We just gifted it. That was a horrific injury to the Split player- and was he being taken away to be turned into fizzy orange pulp? It was good to play a team in its last pre-season work-out at this stage in our preparations four weeks before our season begins.
Billy Castell Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Who cares if we lost? It is pre-season, and these games are never going to be as intense as a league game. Hopefully we can get a striker or two, and a decent midfielder, then its all systems go.
blue phil Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Oh and btw Pedersons penalty was the best penalty that I have seen taken by a Rovers player since Shearer was here. Lee Carsley was the best penalty taker I've seen at Ewood ....
Kelbo Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Unless there was a deflection I could have stopped that shot without using my hands. Looking at the goal, there did appear to be a defletion as Robinsons balance was on his right foot!! As for the game, Split did look sharper, mainly down to them being three to four weeks in front of of Rovers in their preparatons!!
FourLaneBlue Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Lee Carsley was the best penalty taker I've seen at Ewood .... Ah...the days when Lee Carsley was our top scorer!!!
