Was toying with the idea but not paying £10 - feck that

I was thinking that ..... £10 to watch the reserves at Accrington or £10 and watch Arsenal/Chelsea at a packed Ewood <_<

Regardless if it's Rovers reserves or not its a home game for Stanleys first team so the price is a fair one.

Updates on the match have died pretty much.

Lee is obviously busy sending out Official texts about the Croat. ;)

Or not. 2-0 Rovers, Gally tackled someone (!) and chipped the keeper. Sounds like he could/should have passed to Hoilett but no matter.

Sounds like he's trying to impress, and is I should add it would seem.

Fair play to Gally I'm not his biggest fan but he's making a go of pre season.

Still think we should get rid as he should be behing benni, roberts, new guy, Di Santo and Hoilett to play up front.

Can anyone tell what Rovers line up is? The official site only gives a jumbled up list of 20 names so not very helpful.

Thanks for that TCO.

I imagine 4-4-2 with

Fielding

Jones Zurab Gunning Ollson

Doran Judge Marrow EVH

Gally Junior

Marrow has played at RB throughout the pre-season but apparently was originally recruited for CM.

Never heard of Jones. Academy?

Not sure why Fielding is playing. What happened to the young Greek? Is he in the academy?

52 MINS GOAL!!! Judge fed inside to Gallagher, past his man and he drills it into the bottom left hand corner. Stanley 0 Rovers 3

So 3-0, but Lee is writing poorly this evening, I can't even make out if Gally "fed" Judge or vice versa. Not the first ambiguous thing he's written either.

I'm glad it wasn't just me who couldn't decipher what he meant

56 MINS: Gallagher goes hunting a fourth, but he blasts his effort across goal just wide.

Hattrick for Gallagher then

Hopefully this is the chance for us to get a decent price and Gally to get a good move to a decent club.

Cough.

A pre-season kick around against Accy Stanley?

Time for reality pills for some posters on here.

I'm glad it's not just me then! Accy are poor!

Gally can only score against the opposition put in front of him and he's doing a good job.

Yeh exactly, he doesn't pick the opposition, can't ask for much more than a hat trick from him. Doesn't mean he can nessicarily have an impact in the premiership this season but it's still good to see him in some form.

I feel two of Accy, Burton, Macclesfield, Barnet, Aldershot and Grimsby stand a very good chance of dropping out of the football league this season.

Yes, Accy are a very poor side.

A poor side who ran Burnley to a 2-2 draw :)

Which isn't me saying they're not poor, just a shot at our neigbours...

An excellent performance by the Reserves tonight. They have enjoyed a very good pre-season and have played some excellent football. Tonight was their best performance of the pre-season. They played fast, flowing football which was simply too much for Stanley to deal with.

Gally looked very good and did everything that was asked of him in attack. He looked like the Gally of old on tonight's display. Obviously the opposition wasn't of the highest standard but, nonetheless, he took his goals well and was extremely creative in his use of the ball.

Alex Marrow really caught the eye with a barnstorming performance in the centre of midfield. Phil Jones continues to impress at right-back.

Hoilett impressed again with his running and ball control. Again, he was very creative in his use of the ball. Van Heerden goes about his work in a unspectacular way but rarely gives the ball away and some of his through passes are a delight.

A really good team performance tonight with Jones, Marrow and Gally being outstanding.

Parson.

How do you compare tonights opposition Stanley with Leigh on Tuesday?

Are Accy poor for their level or Leigh good for theirs?

I know Accy aren't the best, but this is the same team (save for one player) that drew 2-2 against Burnley. Pleased that Gallagher is trying hard to impress, and succeeding.

At the end of the day this was a Stanley team that was playing its final pre-season game before they start the League campaign next week. They are a better side than Leigh but the Reserves were outstanding tonight. We actually have some very good young players - Phil Jones, Gavin Gunning, Martin Olsson, Alex Marrow, Aaron Doran, Alan Judge, David Hoilett, Marcus Marshall - and it will be interesting to see how they develop this season. Obviously not all of them are going to break into the senior team this season and I would expect the likes of Gunning, Marrow and Doran to be sent out on loan to get some first team experience. However, it is as good a crop of youngsters as we have had for some time.

Zurab does a great job guiding the youngsters while Gally looked very good tonight and van Heerden impresses with his use of the ball.
