Danish Villan Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Being a villa fan I have to admit that I mainly look at this board for Nickos news. But since I have spend the better time of the last 4 transfer windows here - I have taken a liking for this board. You strike me as a good set of fans, and I hope you will find that big Sam is good for you as a club. If Newcastle had kept him they would still be in the PL. Any way just wanted to congratulate you on the positive end to the season. Now bring on Nicko :-) Cheers, A Danish Villan.

BPF Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Yes, thank you. I've never been so pleased with a team since West Ham in 1995.
Danish Villan Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Cheers buddy. Thanks for relegating Newcastle. You are welcome - made my day as well.
The Rover of Finland Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 And how beautiful it was that Blackburn based scored that own goal??!!
ni_rover Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Newcastle are now down where they belong to be horribly honest. Great season Villa!
b12_simon Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 And how beautiful it was that Blackburn based scored that own goal??!! I'm extremely proud of Agent Duff and I know I'm not the only one. Almost a week since full time and gloating about it is still funny!
Ronin Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 with Shearer as the manager taking them down as well, that was nice too!
ni_rover Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Shearer did a hell of alot for us. I cant understand why people are on his back!

b12_simon Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Shearer did a hell of alot for us. I cant understand why people are on his back! For me it's not so much Shearer but the circus/toilet of a club he decided to go and manage for 8 games. I swear it'll still be funny at xmas!
1864roverite Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nice one DV great to see the pictures on shearers afce as well as the hordes of saddened barcodes on the terraces
Guest benmaxwell Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Has anyone else been as massively impressed with how Sam handles the media? He always seems to respond in the best interests of the club and more specifically the fans. When a dodgy story comes out in the media, he puts it in his place, where as when the same happened under Ince or even Hughes rule, they used to just ignore it... What im trying to say, is it's quality that we have a manager who finally says what the fans want to hear... For example: http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,...1678126,00.html
Backroom DE. Posted June 1, 2009 Backroom Posted June 1, 2009 Good post, Villa are up there with my favourite teams after sending Newcastle down also got a class chairman, good ethics and a sound, english-based squad. Hope they can break the top 4 next year.
