In that report it say's, the debt to the IR is 3m, Im sure it was reported earlier at 350k, now that's inflation.

I bet the players wish it were £3m- they'd be the best paid in the lower divisions if it were true!

the powers that be at Ewood should be able to arrange something within the next few weeks ... not to create goodwill or get some positive PR, just because it would be a good thing to do - c'mon rovers, do the right thing!

They'll get no sympathy on here. ;)

The sympathy is with Stanley. A friendly including some of the come back players would surely benefit both parties.

Now that is a good idea no charity, but as you say both parties benefit, just as long as they play in slippers. ;)

I hope Rovers arrange a friendly to support Stanley finances also, i think i speak for a lot of football fans in East Lancs when i say i have a soft spot for their club, would be a shame for them to go under.

It did - 53 grands worth of good, and they weren't battered, just couldn't cope with Burnley's slick young forwards. Nugent didn't look much cop though.
