tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Liverpool really are tough to break down. All of the flair and pace in the City team is worth nothing when players are immediately closed down from all angles.

CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Rafa always seems to get a result just when he needs it. No doubt things will go for him in the CL in midweek too. He does. He's a lucky man. Kuyt just got a ball booted straight at his bonce. Attempted cross he got in the way of. I bet that smarted. For all the money City have spent, they look very much like the old City. Flattering to deceive...A Northern Chelsea they are not.
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I've only been watching the second half, but Reina has been exceptional in the air, especially for a guy I always considered vulnerable and baring in mind his reasonably small stature. Come on City! I really want the top four apple cart to be upset. YES! Just as I was about to post, they score!
brfcshabba Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Note to Liverpool defence: Do not give Adebayor a free header in the box.

tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Just goes to show the importance, once again, of set pieces. Commentator said that Liverpool have conceded more from set pieces than any other team in the league.
CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Maybe not so lucky for Rafa. Has his luck run out?1 - 2
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 City are absolutely rampant! What play from Tevez and SWP!
bellamy11 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Just level IMO. Lovely turn from SWP - he has been pretty good today. Benayoun!
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Bloody hell, what a game! More poor defending, this time from City.
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 The game has been so open since City's goal went in, so much more exciting! Bellamy, SWP, Tevez and Ireland all getting time on the ball now and doing their thing.
CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 City's defence deary me. Both defences have forgotten how to play... If I were a fan of either team, I'd be nervous every time the opposition attack the box...
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 God I miss Bellamy. He's such a dick haha.
CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 God I miss Bellamy. He's such a dick haha. yeah, he is but you'd love him in your side (most of the time...)
CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Some good football being played now. If either side had been playing one of the top three, you get the feeling they'd be losing by a couple by now.
tcj_jones Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Another free header, but this time it goes unpunished! 2-2, probably a fair result. Is that six straight draws for City now? You know what, I wouldn't discount Spurs or Villa for fourth right now.
CrazyIvan Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Entertaining second half. 6 draws for City on the bounce and one win in 10 for the Scousers.
thenodrog Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Just to put a few things into perspective the Radio 5 commentor (not Alan Green) said that the first half was the worst 45 mins of football that he had seen all season! Considering the amount of money spent in assembling those teams it kind of shows one or two comments in a different light that appear on here from time to time.

Not often I agree with alan green but it was dire.
sambo Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hull 0-2 West Ham Dingles one nil up Chelsea 2-0 Wolves
Backroom DE. Posted November 21, 2009 Backroom Posted November 21, 2009 Hull already 2-0 down to West Ham at home. If it gets to 3 or 4 it will probably be the end of Phil Brown.
