Backroom Tom Posted December 27, 2009 Backroom Posted December 27, 2009 Rooney just played the worst ball of the season off of which hull won and scored a penalty. Atrocious pass.
Grabbi Graeme Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Wiley the is the ref, first time he has taken charge of a Utd game since Fergie's rant that he was not fit enough to referee.
Backroom Tom Posted December 27, 2009 Backroom Posted December 27, 2009 United back in front. Rooney back ti business two great balls for uniteds second and third
John Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Our friend Ghilas is on for Hull, anyone seen much of him play, any good?
philipl Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Ghilas was one we definitely got right. Relieves Andrews of the worst player in the Prem tag.
John Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Portsmouth are being sued by French side Lens over alleged unpaid transfer fees for striker Aruna Dindane and defender Nadir Belhadj.
philipl Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 It is going to take a miracle to keep Pompey out of administration now. Once one football club goes to Court, there could now be a disorderly rabble heading the same way. That said, any club paying Utaka £80k a week deserves what's coming their way.

JAL Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Portsmouth are being sued by French side Lens over alleged unpaid transfer fees for striker Aruna Dindane and defender Nadir Belhadj. If theres not much left to pay Lens for Belhadj, then you'd think it would be an ideal moment to step in and pay the remainder of the deal off and bring him on board providing Pompey are not paying stupid money in wages.
philipl Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Surely you jest? From John's link: Pompey’s woes were underlined with news that John Utaka is said to be on £80,000 a week but has scored only seven goals since he signed in 2007. Bobby G Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Now it makes sense why Belhadj could be able to move on a free.
bennyboyt11 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Hate Mick McCarthy all you want for his team selections, but is there a funnier man giving post-match interviews at present? Upon asking if 'it was an insult fielding a full strength side at Anfield but not at Old Trafford' his response was 'Is this the face of a man who gives a flying f**k'
philipl Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 RSC scored twice in Sparky's farewell and not even made the bench in either of Mancini's selections. Is he injured again?
cn174 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 RSC scored twice in Sparky's farewell and not even made the bench in either of Mancini's selections. Is he injured again? According to Fantasy PL website, yes he is out with an ankle injury.
Backroom Tom Posted December 28, 2009 Backroom Posted December 28, 2009 I think its safe to say we got a good price for him, shame a lot of the cash disappears.
Amo Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I think its safe to say we got a good price for him, shame a lot of the cash disappears. It also proves a lot of people, who thought he feigned injury for us, wrong. Man City signed an overpriced (but talented) crock.
Barney Blue Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 It also proves a lot of people, who thought he feigned injury for us, wrong. Man City signed an overpriced (but talented) crock. And they wonder why Hughes was sacked!
Hughesy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Crocky - £18m Bentley - £17m What have they done since they left?! £35m used to balance the books & also purchase new players - Thanks!
John Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Good signing for them, if true: Tony Pulis has launched an ambitious £9m bid to raid cash-strapped West Ham for England international Scott Parker
Hughesy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Good signing for them, if true: Tony Pulis has launched an ambitious £9m bid to raid cash-strapped West Ham for England international Scott Parker Lots of rumours that Spurs want him and id expect Parker to choose them over Stoke
Blue n White Rover Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Comeback of 2009? Peterborough 4-0 down at HT to Cardiff. Come back to make it 4-4 in stoppage time. Bottom of the league as well, my word that must have been a hell of a game.
CrazyIvan Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Get well soon is all I can say! Not a nice thing to deal with, this time of year especially.
philipl Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 PNE have sacked Alan Irvine. I think that is a bit hard considering how hard up they are. Two massive games in the Prem tonight. Bolton v Hull will have a huge bearing on who goes down whilst Villa can effectively kill Liverpool's Champions League interest if they complete the double at Villa Park.
