philipl Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 In a very slow transfer window, the porno boys arrival at WHU means anything anywhere else not superglued to the floor is being linked with a transfer to Upton Park at the moment. I have just counted 13 names on one page of headlines! The reality is that West Ham have very limited free money. They no longer need to raise £20m cash this window and can now wheel and deal but that is the best that can be said.
The Rover of Finland Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Kazim-Richards has joined Toulousse on loan. Or does it even matter? He is Andrews as a winger.
RovertheHill Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Bloody hell - Arsenal 0 Bolton 2. Maybe OC is a miracle worker
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Bloody hell arsenal, couldnt do us a favour could you
BRFC1995 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Bloody hell arsenal, couldnt do us a favour could you arsenal fightback is on , if they lose a 2-0 lead hopefully their hopes of a bright new beginning under coyle will be gone. hopefully no new manager syndrome
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Come on Arsenal you can do it, Nicko will be bloody unbearable with his Coyle love in if it stays the same
ffan Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 £15m on a kid that has played 9 times?! Seriously £7m + add-ons is a great deal for an unproven player! If you have seen him play, you would know why I rate him so highly. Future England center back.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 3-2 Arsenal At least Nicko will be in tune with the somber attitude shown by the rest of us tonight then.
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Nah he'll still we worshipping at the altar of coyle and write up a glowing critique
BRFC1995 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 gotta love arsenal at times......magic, lets have 5
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Arsenal could win this league and I hope they do
jonv Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 this is amazing to read knowing the final result... i arsenal for there teasing performance tonight
PAFELL Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 At least Nicko will be in tune with the somber attitude shown by the rest of us tonight then. Hey get your chin off the ground. Yes Rovers are out of the Carling cup. But look at the positives - they went down fighting for a change, Kalinic scoring two, Rovers scoring 4 goals away from home - two of those when down to ten men. If the team, the manager the supporters cannot be positive about prem survival after the way the team played tonight then there is something seriously wrong with the lot of us. THAT TEAM PERFORMANCE TONIGHT DID NOT EMBARRASS BLACKBURN ROVERS. Every pundit gave Rovers no chance before the game tonight - they got a shock how Rovers fought tonight. What we want now id for Sam and the players to take note of what happened tonight and build on it. My concern is will Sam go back to the negative football - if he does do the board get rid of him. For now we must remain positive and proud on how the team played tonight.
jonv Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 really don't know where this season is going atm
Steve Moss Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 really don't know where this season is going atm Onward and upward.
Hughesy Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 If the shoe was on the other foot and it was a Rovers player you'd value him at £30m Hughesy I valued Hoilett (played more games) at less than £7m, like I said - £7m + add-ons for a defender who has played 9 games is fantastic.....
Hughesy Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Boyd to Villa or Brum Apparently in talks with both yesterday and given the VIP treatment at the Semi Final.
Blue n White Rover Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Controversial equaliser by Arsenal. Clear free-kick on Davies, and Gallas should also have seen a red, studs showing and missed the ball completely. Play carried on and they went onto score. Wonder what Wenger would have said if a Bolton player handled the ball when the player was down injured to avoid them scoring? He told his players to do the same if they are injured and the ball is not out of play.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Boyd is a strange one, he did have a spat with Scotland national team when George Burley was in charge because he was left on the bench, there is a big difference in facing John Terry, Jamie Carragher, Rio Ferdinand and all, to facing some defender who plays for St Mirren and the like.

Remembering how arsenal react if you breathe near their player it was a disgrace and presumably Gallas can still be done for it because if I'm not mistaken he didn't even get booked. Going out of the cup was disappointing but we had the debate in my family at the weekend "Which would you rather - go out of the cup and take 3 points off Fulham or vice versa?" I was the one who wanted the 3 points. Going to Wembley would be a great experience but in today's world survival in the Premier league is what matters. as long as the loss last night doesn't knock our confidence too much then last night was a disappointment but no more.

Only if the incident isn't mentioned in the Ref's report. If he mentions it but discounts it, then it can't be dealt with afterwards (under normal circumstances) as it's deemed to have been dealt with in the match. Ref's word being final and all that...
