Perhaps its Robinho?!

If thats the case - good luck!

To be honest I reckon its just a publicity stunt to get the fans on their side.

What class player is going to join us at the moment ?!

They made a lot of money at Birmingham? Good. Let's hope they make a lot of money at West Ham too then. After all, it's every fans dream for a new owner to come in and make a lot of money for themselves.

Ps, offering Van Nistelrooy £100k a week, considering he's past it and always injured makes you 'pig thick.' However, it does make you 'Vintage West Ham," so the new owners are off to a flyer. Enjoy the porn.

They left Birmingham in the premier league and debt free. If they leave West Ham in the same position I will be very happy.

I will repeat for the 4th time I DON'T THINK IT IS RUUD AS THE QUOTE SAYS ONLY 1 ENGLISH CLUB IS IN FOR HIM.

Ps If it is Ruud I will apologise.....

Looking at that pink jacket he's wearing on the pics I would have thought he'd be better spending his money on hiring a decent tailor

Seedy doesn't even begin to cover the look of those two...

Hi im Rob Green, I probably earn 40-50k a week if im lucky

Hughesy - if Green does/did earn that he's very very very lucky!

and Upson and Green this season have been very poor

MB - Green is poor altogether or to put it mildly, overrated.(imo ;) )

What's your view?

Not Premier League, but it does concern an ex-Rover: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/cardiff_city/8473948.stm

Since when did Bothroyd become a £3 million striker?!

Re West Ham; I thought the £100,000 player in question was Huntelaar? It would make a lot more sense, surely it would be insanity to pay that much to someone who probably won't be fit for every game?

Surely it must be van Nistelrooy?

Green is an average premier league goalkeeper, has his good days but also makes some stinkers.....

I would put him just ahead of Robinson. ;)

 - And these are supposed to be our top jockeys for England( if that's your flag) along with James and Foster

I reckon Hart is the best keeper at the moment....or maybe Kirkland.

James & Foster are pathetic - Robbo is good (but nothing amazing) and Green is of a similar level, if not slightly better.

I really rated Bothroyds ability. He had lots of striking ability. Trouble is like so many of em he didn't know how to apply his talents on the pitch. The term 'the first yard is in his head' applied to him .... only in reverse!

Franny Jeffers was another very talented player who has never played to his potential. Suchlike must make managers weep.

Yeah, I thought Bothroyd could have turned into a pretty good Premier League striker were the mental side of his game up there with his raw talent.

Remember when he turned round and kicked that Norwich player four seasons or so back?

Guardian reporting that Karen Brady wants to change West Ham's name to "West Ham Olympic"! They'll be choking on their whelks dahn the East End!

A minor issue if the new owners can turn em around imo. I mean we wouldn't have bothered if Jack Walker had insisted on renaming us 'Blackburn Olympic' would we? :rover: I think it has quite a nice ring to it personally.

... Not sure having us turn out looking like Coventry or Man City would have been over popular though.

That was another team entirely! Once our rivals!

I'd love to have him back at Rovers but I just don't see it happening. Funny how his World Cup dream has become a real nightmare. At one point he was got heaps of praise from the BBC Pundits for his outstanding performance for England, and now he's hardly even mentioned!

Real shame

Actually it is a shame. It's a waste of talent and, whilst a big part of the blame belongs to the lad himself, some must go to those who turned his head and to Spurs who don't seem inclined to help him get away from the club to give him a chance to get out of his mess. He proved when he was here, until he started to believe the hype surrounding him and assume that he no longer had to put in the effort to maintain the levels he was at, that he was a very capable player. Since leaving us he seems to have slipped back into all the old ways that led Wenger to get rid in the first place. I don't feel sorry for Bentley but I do feel sad that he's wasting his time training at Spurs, instead of playing football week in, week out for a decent team somewhere else.

From that article:

Redknapp discussing Van Nistelrooy:

"We don’t pay £100,000 a week - Daniel Levy would not pay that kind of money because he runs a good business and it would break our wage structure by an awful long way."

It is just me who thinks that's such a callous comment given the problems at Pompey.

Couldnt care less about Bentley's problems. However, a loan until the end of season wouldnt be bad.

It's such a shame because he is up there with Ashley Young and Aaron Lennon ability-wise. He might even be the best of the three on his day. However, he has a poor attitude that is hindering his progress.

I also just wish that players would realise how good they have it at Rovers - or any club where they're playing well, earning a good living and, most importantly, playing regularly - and not be so quick to jump ship at the first opportunity.
