Blue n White Rover Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 1-0 West Ham VS Hull. Behrami the goalscorer. Would prefer a draw in that game!

Miker Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Everton beating United... and Chelsea the week before... kinda makes the "this season all the teams outside the top 7 are rubbish" argument irrelevant ...
mellison24 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Everton beating United... and Chelsea the week before... kinda makes the "this season all the teams outside the top 7 are rubbish" argument irrelevant ... This isn't having a go, but would you say the same if we did the same by the end of the season (beat them both at home)?
Mr. E Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I have not seen Everton kick a ball right this season, yet see results of them beating United and Chelsea. How is this possible?
adopted scouser Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I have not seen Everton kick a ball right this season, yet see results of them beating United and Chelsea. How is this possible? They wanted it more than United today and were the better team. Even Fergie admitted they were 'well beaten' after the match.

adopted scouser Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I think I just saw a pig fly......wow! Nope he definitely said it, should have bloody Sky plussed it
mellison24 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Nope he definitely said it, should have bloody Sky plussed it Aye I saw it, but cant believe it haha. He even opted for disappointment over anger. Has his wife been interfering with his breakfast haggis?
Iceman Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Damn why didnt we go for Pienaar. I mentioned him, and got laughed at hope he continues the form for South Africa.
tony gale's mic Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I have not seen Everton kick a ball right this season, yet see results of them beating United and Chelsea. How is this possible? Because despite Moyes' claims of having no money, they have the spending power to shell out a combined £24m on Fellaini (admittedly not playing today) and Biliyatdenov.
thenodrog Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Everton beating United... and Chelsea the week before... kinda makes the "this season all the teams outside the top 7 are rubbish" argument irrelevant ... Only just cos Everton are 8th. What's your point miker?
Exiled_Rover Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Damn why didnt we go for Pienaar. I mentioned him, and got laughed at hope he continues the form for South Africa. We were linked under Hughes.
thenodrog Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 The curse of the game after the good away performance in Europe strikes again.
Hughesy Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 A good day so far results wise....just a shame Stoke have scored and are nowing possibly taking something. Wolves lost, Hull lost, Sunderland lost....just a shame West Ham won. Win tomorrow takes us at least 15 clear of pompey, 11 clear of bolton & burnley (villa permitting) and 10 clear of Wolves & Hull
Miker Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Only just cos Everton are 8th. What's your point miker? Clearly it's not just a few teams stronger and with more resources than us this season, nor is it less than the last few seasons. I won't get dragged into this again though, I have no point, I'm just the crazy guy on the messageboard making no sense.
Backroom Tom Posted February 20, 2010 Backroom Posted February 20, 2010 You said it Miker One difference is Everton beleive they can take on these teams and take the game to them whereas we seem to have no belief we can match the big boys these days. As I said though in another thread I think a win tomorrow should see some confidence return and we will beat one of the big teams this season.
LeChuck Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Everton have been the fifth best team in the country over the last few seasons, they were challenging the top four whilst Villa, Spurs and City were all mid-table nobodies. They had a really slow start this year but they're making up the ground now. They're several levels above us and everyone else in the league who currently sits below them.
adopted scouser Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Burnley beating Villa ? Come on O 'Neill don't ruin this perfect Sunday
Bobby G Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Do we really mind the Dingles beating the scum that is Villa? They wont stay up anyway. Might as well spice up the league...
Backroom Tom Posted February 21, 2010 Backroom Posted February 21, 2010 I had a feeling that burnley would win 2-1 today but after our win I couldn't care less now
tony gale's mic Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Do we really mind the Dingles beating the scum that is Villa? They wont stay up anyway. Might as well spice up the league... Villa aren't scum, they're a good side bringing through some good English players. Rather them than City, Spurs or Liverpool.
Bobby G Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Villa play long ball, counter-attacking football. They only get saved cause the media loves them and their badger of a manager. On a side-note, reports are saying Mancini has lost the dressing room? Could it be true or an exaggeration?
philipl Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Do we really mind the Dingles beating the scum that is Villa? They wont stay up anyway. Might as well spice up the league... Looking at the dingles' run in, they have some very winnable home games coming up which if they hang on for this win at Villa, who are an awful run themselves apart from that treble over us in the Cups, will see them survive. Teehee- worked again, Villa equalise.
tony gale's mic Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Villa play long ball, counter-attacking football. They only get saved cause the media loves them and their badger of a manager. On a side-note, reports are saying Mancini has lost the dressing room? Could it be true or an exaggeration? As much as I don't like these hoofball comments people make about us (especially our own fans), there is a difference between their long balls and ours and Stoke's. They do mix it up more with short passing and they have players with pace, meaning that when they play their long ball game it goes rapidly from opposition box up to goal which in itself can make for some very exciting moves. Still like with anything, if theyre not getting the results it's all irrelevant.
