T4E Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 He's so good because there's two of him. Craig and Gordon. They're identical twins, they switch frequently during games which allows them to read the game and always be in the right place at the right time. The same applies to John (and) Terry, David (and) James and Andy (and) Todd. It does not apply to Keith Andrews.

Hughesy Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Gordon's an awesome Keeper, bet Capello wishes he was English. Awesome?! Mad how people's views differ - wasnt he dropped either last season or beginning of this season at one stage because he was so good?!
T4E Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 wasnt he dropped either last season or beginning of this season at one stage because he was so good?! No, he wasn't.
Hughesy Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 No, he wasn't. Errrr Yes he was..... Link here for you
thenodrog Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Errrr Yes he was..... Link here for you I rem him having his loss of confidence. Ordinary keeper whose name people would struggle to remember if that thick bogtrotter Keano had only paid 2m for him. C'mon Toogs when have you ever known Scotland produce a good keeper? Greavsie made Scottish keepers a national joke in the 80's.
T4E Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Errrr Yes he was..... Link here for you He wasn't dropped - he got injured and then didnt win his place back immediately due to the form of Fulop. It's very different.
Hughesy Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I rem him having his loss of confidence. Ordinary keeper whose name people would struggle to remember if that thick bogtrotter Keano had only paid 2m for him. I agree - he's average to good at best. Due to the form of Fulop?? Thought he was awesome?
T4E Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 It you want to debate something atleast make a point so you give me something to respond to.
Grabbi Graeme Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Lucky Michael Out of the World Cup. Don't think he had any chance anyway, there would have had to have been a major striker crisis for him to be considered for the World Cup.
John Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Aston Villa's challenge for a place in the Champions League has cost owner Randy Lerner £82.5 million since the start of last season.
philipl Posted March 6, 2010 Author Posted March 6, 2010 Bolton winning at WHam is OK for us- still 5 points down to the next club behind us and WHam and Notlob have now played the same number of games as us. The top three are all on 61 points if the Wolves v Mancs game remains as a draw- interesting Championship race with nobody new going to join Rovers as one of only four Prem League champs. If Essien really is out for the rest of the season, that race to the title is now a toss-up.
philipl Posted March 6, 2010 Author Posted March 6, 2010 The Fulham v Spurs draw is nice for us. Spurs have a Cup QF replay to think about after we visit WHL and Fulham now have Juve H, Mancs H, Spurs A, City A, Juve A in a 14 day period which should set them up nicely for us to get ahead of them in the League sometime soon.
PAFELL Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Aston Villa's challenge for a place in the Champions League has cost owner Randy Lerner £82.5 million since the start of last season. Interesting article, especailly this bit - Villa's current model is likely to breach new Uefa regulations on "financial fair play". Uefa's rules, which will be introduced in 2012, will require clubs to break even or be self-supporting to compete in European competition. A club source said Villa would comply with the new rules, but acknowledged that Lerner would have to underwrite further losses going forward. Cannot see man U and liverpool being able to comply with these rules by 2012. Anybody know what would happen if each team that finishes in the top 4 were not able to meet these rules. Would the next teams down get the place?
philipl Posted March 6, 2010 Author Posted March 6, 2010 UEFA caved in and these rules will not now be introduced before 2015- if at all.
LeChuck Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Unlikely I know, but if West Ham go down we should move heaven and earth to get Diamanti in. He'e fantastic.
roversfan99 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Yeah i agree iv put the same in the transfer thread
LeChuck Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Seems like we posted at exactly the same time too. I'll talk about him in there as that's got a response.
Exiled in Toronto Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Are Burnley in danger of setting a new record for the lowest number of away points in a season at this level, at least since the Premier League came about? I know Derby got 3. How many did Swindon get?
thenodrog Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Aston Villa's challenge for a place in the Champions League has cost owner Randy Lerner £82.5 million since the start of last season. Laughably even the Telegraph refer to him as an 'investor'. 'Benefactor' or even 'donor' being much more accurate of course.
Amo Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Reading continue to defy the odds. 2-0 up against Villa. ...Is it any surprise when Villa have Heskey AND Carew up front?
