Funniest thing about West Ham's situation is one fan calling for Paul Ince to save them:

http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=551&fid=256&sty=2&act=1&mid=2122294407

For me only one person has the desire to kep us up this year and convince the decent players that we have what it takes to wear the claret and blue-Ince. He is WHU through and through and yet has so much to prove to us I believe he would become a legend.

Replacing Zola with Ince... great idea. The worst thing is none of the replies suggest it's a bad idea ?

I remember not long ago - some on here were saying we should go for Zola...crazy! He is like Ince all-over again, needs to do all his training and get his experience at a much smaller club & come back in 5 years+.

As for Hughes - id be very suprised if he worked with them after the Savage affair with the porno kings...desperate if he does!

Nothing against West Ham and grateful still for 95 although I'd prefer Hull to stay up as its a good away game tbh.

Dingles down for me everytime, the way they were at the start of the season is reason enough plus why end 31 years of pain for them, let them suffer.

Zola wanted McCarthy, G & S signed Ilan and Mido.

Proper Zola signing eh? Fat, Lazy, No Pace.....you're having a laugh mate...Gold/Sullivan coveted McCarthy before the transfer window and paid over the odds for him.......no point them distancing themselves now....

Gold was on Talk Sport this morning and they put it to him that the Wolves players wanted it more...he said that it wasn't the case....The guy's not a clue about football.....he wants to stick to selling dildos or whatever they do.

Personally, I used to love the hammers, but the Tevez affair and Sir Trevors role in ensuring they werent docked points and relegated left a sour taste throughout football and I honestly believe West Ham at thet time should have been relegated and fined, it was simply fraud and decietful, not once but twice!!

So now I hope they get relegated.

What puzzles me is why West Ham fans generally can't see why anything their club did has upset/annoyed people. If the powers that be hadn't pulled out of the points deduction and the club had taken its medicine at the time chances are that they would now be on a much more solid footing anyway and be back in the premier league and able to compete properly. As it is they keep flirting with relegation and nobody is happy. Their finances are still, despite new ownership, in a mess if reports are to be believed, and their previous good name is tarnished. In the Tevez affair nobody in the league really gained. Yes, west Ham stayed up but to the detriment of the club it would ultimately appear.

Zola signed McCarthy, of course G & S coverted him as their manager said he wanted to sign him.

I know what you mean about G & S what an awful job they did at Birmingham...... :D

FWIW I am not dancing in the street with G & S owning us but I don't think they are the worst owners in the world after experiencing the Icelandic owners.......

G & S do interfere with the signing of players also, which should be solely down to the manager as opposed to who Silkman or some other agent can get for them.....

We know we were in the wrong, but it was a technical issue regarding his contract as opposed to blatent cheating.

Also it is not our fault the Premier League didn't deduct us points. The PL thought they could make a quick buck out of us and they assumed we were already going down. We should have been deducted points there is no denying that but again why is it our fault we weren't ?

As regards the game at Ewood what are we supposed to do if the ref awards us a goal !? Say sorry actually we think it wasn't over the line so cancel the goal please Me Referee ?!

As someone posting that Sir Trev influenced the decision not to deduct us points that is laughable.

NB I didn't blame the fans, and I did say that the league should have had the guts to deduct points. And obviously you can't do anything about the goal, but then if Tevez had been banned from playing until it was sorted then the incident wouldn't have happened or at least not in the same way and I think if a different player had done it there wouldn't be the massive ill-feeling about it. West Ham used to be one of those clubs most other fans didn't mind, but not nowadays. I personally am also fed up with hearing about this being the club Bobby Moore played for, not because there was anything wrong with Moore but because we could all do that. Man Utd fans don't go on about this being the club Bobby Charlton played for; Everton don't keep on about the club Ball played for, or whatever. Successful clubs don't need to ram past players down other fans throats. They honour them at appropriate times and in their museums etc, but most of the time they are so caught up in the current team that they don't feel the need to. You are an until recently decent club with history who should be comfortably mid table and that's what you need to get back to - but not too soon as far as I'm concerned. As I said, I'd keep Burnley up rahter than you - nothing personal against you - just given the choice - I'd save Burnley!

It is not the media who go on about Bobby Moore and West Ham? His picture is around the ground a lot as the club are supporting his cancer charity. I for one have never used the phrase about West Ham winning the world cup. Or if it is said it is most definately tongue in cheek.

West Ham's directors who were involved with the Tevez affair have now all been sacked or have resigned. I personally think that if we had been deducted points(which we should have) we would be in a better position now as we wouldn't have to pay Sheff Utd £20 Million and we wouldn't have wasted millions on a load of dross like Dyer, Ljunberg etc.....

I still can't honestly believe you would rather Burnley stay up ahead of any team.....

Whilst I thank West Ham for 95...it was our's to lose and we only had them to thank because we screwed up at Anfield.

Should he wander into my local one night Ludek Miklosko would not have to buy a drink.

Plain fact though is that WHU played like they did cos they hate the Mancs with a vengeance after the Ince job and not cos they particularly like us.

Why not? I like playing them as opposed to playing you who have been a bit of a bogey side for us in recent seasons. Derby games give us a chance to wind up the Burnley fans we know and I'm not from round here - I'd have Sunderland relegated ahead of anyone else if it was a free vote.

Thats all well and good as long as you beat Burnley and you continue to look down on them!

Only one thing comes to mind with Burnley:

although this is quite relevant too

I've got a mate who supports West Ham, he never mentions Bobby Moore. I wonder how many people's judgements are based on stereotypes? West Ham aren't so bad, although I'd be careful which pubs you went in on match day if you're an away fan. I used to live on Green Street (my Dad ran a pub there), and one year a regular bought me the West Ham annual for my birthday, complete with autograph from Ray Stewart and a signed photo of tricky Trevor Brooking. I've still got both, so I'm hoping they stay up.

I cannot actually believe you guys want us(West Ham) to go down ahead of Burnley..... How times have changed......

We don't but there are 3 to be relegated and we'd like you lot to be one. I'd imagine that a poll would reveal that most football supporters would want to see you lot down. Your recent history has rendered your club highly unpopular. Sure we hate Burnley but for all their faults have played with a very straight bat this season and that is commendable. They know their place and their limits and very wisely have cut their coat according to their cloth.

WHU on the other hand are liars and cheats who recklessly built their temple on unstable ground. In reachimg for the stars they screwed the wage structure within the prem, acted like playground bullies with other clubs and then like all bullies cried like babies when they were confronted with adversity before wriggling and squirming and twisting every issue simply to stay in the Prem. imo WHU would have been better served by taking their just punishment quietly and with humility.

Their new owners are classless, tasteless porn spivs who you wouldn't want around the table at a family gathering.

Oh and I can't do with the oily scheming git that is Trevor Brooking!

There, does that help answer your question?

Fair enough, so 1 bad set of owners and we are now public enemy no 1 .....

How did West Ham not take their punishment quietely and with humility ?

Yes the new owners are classless and I wouldn't want them at my dinner table either, but they will make sure West Ham run within their means. Which can only be good for the rest of the premier league.

Sir Trev is a very nice albeit very boring bloke. Wouldn't hurt a fly.....

1. Because they should have been docked points. Tevez got most of em in that final few weeks remember. They prob kept quiet once some 'deal' was done but that was cos they knew they'd 'had a result' as I think you say down there.

2. Made a bad start with blowing 9m over 3 years on Benny Mac (whilst at the same time whingeing that footballers are overpaid) then didn't they?

Mick a word of advice.... you need to remember that no one can defend the indefencible. ;)
