mickbrown Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 The pen was dodgy without a doubt but a perfect reposte to Olssens wrongly disallowed opener. Doesn't always happen but today justice was served. So its okay to cheat(the pen was not dodgy it was a blatent dive), if you feel hard done by....thats okay then.......

thenodrog Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 So its okay to cheat(the pen was not dodgy it was a blatent dive), if you feel hard done by....thats okay then....... OK to cheat??? Please remember mick that at least Olsson is our player. ..... Oh and that isn't a bare faced lie either.
Blue n White Rover Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Brilliant goal from Torres, Liverpool lead 1-0. Race for 4th looks interesting, with City faltering last week, Villa on a horrible run of form, and Spurs with the top 3 to play, it's going to be a good run in.
Backroom DE. Posted March 28, 2010 Backroom Posted March 28, 2010 Sunderland are getting absolutely butchered. A Burnley-esque performance so far.
tcj_jones Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Spurs have a horrid run in, where they play all of the top three, and City are too inconsistent. Liverpool will get fourth (for the record, I said the same too games ago). It's a shame, I'd prefer things to be mixed up a bit.
BRFC1995 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 on a wham note, have we ever missed a player less after getting rid, than mccarthy. After all the moaners saying hes the best this and the best that at the club. watching mido and mccarthy slowly killing wham is so funny...........Carnage at wham if they go down, big hull supporter for the remainder of the season.
brian_gallagher85 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Make a great epitaph for the club. Fingers crossed eh? As for the West Ham fan talking about cheating...
joey_big_nose Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm so f***ing bored of the big four. I think I'd even take Spurs qualifying for the CL just for the novelty. And I hate Spurs.
philipl Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 4 Tottenham 31 28 58 5 Liverpool 32 21 54 6 Man City 30 16 53 7 Villa 31 11 51 8 Everton 32 8 49 Whilst Villa have conveniently imploded and Everton's win at City was a big bonus, Liverpool are still reliant on City and Spurs dropping 5 and 7 points respectively more than they do over the remaining 6 to 8 games. Spurs have some toughies coming up but Liverpool have Chelsea at home to come as well as games that will have a big bearing on who goes down.
mickbrown Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Zola is staying, fcuking excellent, looks like Burnley still have a chance of staying up!
Ossydave Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Zola is staying, fcuking excellent, looks like Burnley still have a chance of staying up! Lets hope so, I'll miss days out like yesterday if they drop.
LeChuck Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Zola is the umpteenth example of someone proving that being a magnificent player has no relation to being a good manager. When will clubs learn?
Backroom DE. Posted March 29, 2010 Backroom Posted March 29, 2010 Zola is staying, fcuking excellent, looks like Burnley still have a chance of staying up! It'll be Hull that stay up, not Burnley. If they get out of jail for the second season in a row it'll be both hilarious and sad.
Ozz Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Bird on The Radio said Villa and Martin O'Neill have `parted Company` !!??
Kelbo Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Bird on The Radio said Villa and Martin O'Neill have `parted Company` !!?? Yeah, I heard that, agument with Lerner over transfers!
Hughesy Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Bird on The Radio said Villa and Martin O'Neill have `parted Company` !!?? Id be delighted if true....Although id suspect Hughes would be next in!
T4E Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hughes would almost certainly be the front runner for that one. Although I'd imagine they wont be short of applicants. O'Neill back to C*ltic?
Sparky Marky Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Cue, the raid on our best players...Samba, errrrrmmm....
SoccerHQ Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Villa have denied it already this morning. Ah, it originated from the Mirror. I await Nicko's post with interest. In fairness I can see MON walking at the end of the season.
Stuart Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Rooney's just had his toes stamped on! Hobble off in injury time!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Apparently it's just an ankle injury and not a metatarsal. Fingers crossed nothing too serious, but serious enough to rule him out of our clash and give him enough rest before the world cup
Exiled_Rover Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Yeah ideally he's out until the England players need to report for the pre-World Cup training.
Backroom Tom Posted March 31, 2010 Backroom Posted March 31, 2010 My mate sent me this, its taken from a Man City messageboard, their arrogance is outstanding. We all know that City get an unfair amount of stick, always have really. At the moment we are of course, ruining football. Its simply because we are a big club, with good attendances and have an owner with serious funding to play with that people dont like us. After last night though I was wondering what the Wigan whinger would think of this idea. (Nice alliteration as well I thought ;-)) The Premiership is now devalued as both a sporting contest and a spectator attraction because too many small clubs, backed by wealthy owners have introduced a survive at all costs mentality. There are now so many clubs out of their depth in the EPL that possibly as many as 25% of games are more or less decided before they begin. Wolves starting 11 against Man U, Wigan time wasting in the first 5 minutes and throughout the game last night, Stoke doing little more than trying to get throw-ins, Bolton having specnt years bullying teams with better footballers. Surely we want more from the 'best league in the world'? The support of some of these clubs, both home and away is feeble and again goes against expectations of the best league in the world. So perhaps people like Moz Jacksey (or whoever) at Wolves should be a bit more embarrassed about the aim of 'surviving' in the premiership. Perhaps even allow a team like Leeds or one of the Sheffield clubs to take their place in the top division bringing with them the passion and support to give it a go? I for one will be pleased to see the backs of Stoke, Hull, Wolves,Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn as they arent really trying are they? Its not about money though. Its about going down fighting, and belief, and expectation but most of all its about every game meaning something and not simply chalking off half a dozen fixtures as un-winnable. Its about at least trying your best. Success isnt measured in surviving another season in order to bring in revenue its about proving that no matter how big the crowd, how wealthy the opposition or how crappy the weather the team have done their level best to win. Success can be as intangible as how people remember your endeavours. Can anyone think of anything Rovers have achieved in the Prem that City havn't?
