Roberto Policano Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Any news on Ronaldinho to Manchester City Roberto? Last i heard AC Milan were trying to get him to sign a one year contractextension. I haven't heard anything lately about him joining City, that seems to have past over. With Silvio Berlusconi not legally aloud to give AC Milan money due to his current role of state,if someone offered silly money for Ronaldinho Adriano Galliani would listen especially due to his age. There has been talk of him signing for Zenit St Petersburg or Shakhtar Donetsk due to their rich owners being able to pay his wages out of their own pockets. There's even talk about him going back to Brazil in July, personally cannot see that though. Personally if i was to bet,i would say he'll start next season at Milan.
1864roverite Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Welcome back the original big club, the barcodes are back. I just cannot imagine fat ashley opening his wallet because on the ev idence this current team will need replacing. Anyhow, a good night out following the away match.
Hughesy Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 The thing with Newcastle is that if they were to play in the prem now - they will probably still have a stronger side than the likes of Burnley, Pompey, Hull & Bolton. They only need to add 3 or 4 decent players and that should be enough to see them stay up....they need to build in slow steps, not listen to their fans who will want Europe or something daft!
Backroom DE. Posted April 6, 2010 Backroom Posted April 6, 2010 Newcastle will stay up next year, but I think they may have to get used to being a lower-table team for a while.
American Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Teams with less talent have come up and finished top half not having made a lot of purchases.
Hughesy Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Teams with less talent have come up and finished top half not having made a lot of purchases. True - looking ahead to next season - they should have a stronger squad than the other 2 that come up + whoever survives from Wolves/ Hull/ Bolton/ Wigan or West Ham. I think they need to buy a decent striker - perhaps Jason Roberts would suit them?!
thenodrog Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Teams with less talent have come up and finished top half not having made a lot of purchases. Every interview I've seen with the Geordie faithfull features em saying that Ashley will have to spend and that they will have to buy lots of players. Like him already spewing 200m plus on em aint enough. That lot will never learn.
Amo Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Away the lads, we're already hearing how a club like Newcastle "deserves" to be in the Premiership. This divine right must be based on the number of shirtless roly polies they get through the turnstiles every week.

Well right now, whatever you think of their fans, you can't argue that they don't deserve to come up, having sealed promotion with a month to spare. Whether you'll be able to say the same this time next years remains to be seen of course.
brian_gallagher85 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Cool, thanks. He seems all right, very nervous infront of goal. I hope you're enjoying your continued run in the Europa ffan Woy's lads did him proud tonight again, I just hope you lot don't do a Boro.
Majiball Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Well done to Fulham, never expected them to keep out Dzeko and Grafiti in Wolfsburg.
T4E Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Brilliant from Fulham. Its a tall order, but I hope they win it. If they can beat Juventus and Wolfsburg they can definitely atleast make the final.
unluckymorton Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Well done to Fulham, never expected them to keep out Dzeko and Grafiti in Wolfsburg. Dzeko and Grafiti looked pretty average at best against Fulham last night. Well done to Woy Hodgson for what he has done at Fulham.
thenodrog Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Don't rate Zamora much, in fact I never have, but credit where credit's due his goal last night was right out of the top drawer. Predictably Liverpool are still grabbing the main headlines on TV. I really wanted them out last night.

Amo Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Don't rate Zamora much, in fact I never have, but credit where credit's due his goal last night was right out of the top drawer. Everything's going right for him this season, and if Capello's a man of his word he'll be on that plane ahead of Heskey.
Hughesy Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 So do I! I've got tickets for the final and I'd much rather not be there with 30,000 scousers!! Sell it then....im sure that would raise some decent funds for you!
joey_big_nose Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Everything's going right for him this season, and if Capello's a man of his word he'll be on that plane ahead of Heskey. It's hard to argue with it really. On form the 4 strikers going should be Rooney, Zamora, Bent and Defoe. Only other stiker who is in there at all is Crouch. Heskey (helped by o'Neil) has played his way out for me. Cole and Owen have been injured too regularly. No one else is good enough (well none of them are really good enough apart from Rooney, but we have to go for the best out of what we have).
DeadlyDirk Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Can't wait for 3pm, some great games on today.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Yep, a massive...two games. What's the point? At least I've got Super 6 to keep me slightly interested. Come on Hull (or a draw to keep Oaf in the job).
Hughesy Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Glad Sunderland didnt win again - just a shame it had to be West Ham - suppose a draw would of been better! Looking at Burnley n Hull...cant see many other teams worrying too much
Backroom Tom Posted April 10, 2010 Backroom Posted April 10, 2010 You're doing it on purpose now aren't you hughesy? Terry could have gone there with another ref in charge
brfcshabba Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Chelsea 1-0 up in semi final. IMO Terry should have been off for a studs up tackle and Villa should have had a penalty in the first half.
