JAL Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Not premier league, but, what a bunch of W@nkers Celtic are, having just lost me a tenner, who are Ross County.

1864roverite Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I think it would be more apprpriate to ask who the hell are Celtic. That club, the other big club in jockland, the land of men in frocks, showed up today thinking the game was already won. Well done Ross County, you gave it them big time. Celtic, a team that wins faff all this year.
modes98 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I still havent't stopped laughing. Neil Lennon is the saviour......or not! I think even we would have managed to win that title this year.

Manager Derek Adams played for Burnley too. Small world.

Fylde Coast Fan Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I'd say that was a huge result for Burnley today, but in reality it just meant that Hull are almost certainly the ones to go down with them instead of West Ham.
adopted scouser Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 That Wade Elliott free kick was top drawer
AggyBlue Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Wonder if Steven was as quick as his dad He'd have been as quick as his dad by his third birthday:lol:
T4E Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I still havent't stopped laughing. Neil Lennon is the saviour......or not! I think even we would have managed to win that title this year. Rovers would challenge for the SPL every year, and would win it most years.
tony gale's mic Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Rovers would challenge for the SPL every year, and would win it most years. If Rovers were in the SPL though we wouldnt be able to have anything like the squad we have now so it's a bit of a pointless comparison.
S15 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 If Rovers were in the SPL though we wouldnt be able to have anything like the squad we have now so it's a bit of a pointless comparison. Of course. But what's being said is that Rovers current squad would challenge for and usually win the SPL on an annual basis. To make the argument even more hypothetical by saying 'yes but our best players would leave' is pointless, and adds sod all to the initial suggestion.
philipl Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Fantastic win by Ross County! To be honest these days I take as much notice of Scottish football as I do of the League of Wales.
CrazyIvan Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 They play football in Scotland? Only when England go to Hampden to take on the locals...
Backroom Tom Posted April 11, 2010 Backroom Posted April 11, 2010 I'll jinx him now but mokoena is having a stormer for Pompey in the semi
Iceman Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Dindane has had a very good game. Boateng as well, and Piquionne. Dindane, has been quick and skilful, and i do think he will be a good signing for us.

Dindane, has been quick and skilful, and i do think he will be a good signing for us. So do I. He's impressed me in a pretty poor Pompey side. Mokoena has actually played really well in this match though, so maybe this game isn't quite the one to judge him by...
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Dindane has had a very good game. Boateng as well, and Piquionne. Dindane, has been quick and skilful, and i do think he will be a good signing for us. Forget speed and skill. We need a player who can put the ball in the back of the net. Dindane has proven this season that he isn't that player and if we want to become a top half team then IMO we should be focussing our efforts elsewhere to find a goalscorer.
Iceman Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 To be fair Tim, Sam has made mention he wants a goal scoring striker. Im almost sure, we will get in 2 strikers, with Di Santo leaving.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I agree, I think if signed Dindane AND a proven goalscorer then that will give us plenty of different options upfront but if we just settle for Dindane and rely on him to bang the goals in then I can't see us changing into a team which will finish teams off. I guess we'll wait and see.
Backroom Tom Posted April 11, 2010 Backroom Posted April 11, 2010 Dindane did great to win the slightly dodgy penalty, real pace
DeadlyDirk Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Don't often like to see Citeh win but the more points Big Club lose the greater chance we have of creeping up as high as 9th.
philipl Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Have to say brilliantly well done to Pompey for reaching the Cup Final. They have rescued something of the magic of the Cup along the way.
jim mk2 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Fantastic win by Ross County! Too right. They were dancing in the streets of Dingwall last night. Celtic and Spurs both humiliated within 24 hours - absolutely marvellous. Up the Proddies.
