gumboots Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Hamburg have sacked thier manager ahead of Thursdays big game with Fulham! Reaction or not? Only time will tell.... they did keep saying on th commentary that he was going to be sacked as they have underachieved in the league
MarkBRFC71 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Doh - who owns him then? Valencia I think ....
Blue n White Rover Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Massive chance for Fulham now to reach the final Hamburg have sacked their manager just 3 days before the Semi-Final
modes98 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I rated him from my armchair all season .....until I watched him at Ewood. He was at fault for both goals that day, but I think you can forgive him1 bad game in an entire season. Especially considering Green and James have them most weeks.
67splitscreen Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 West Ham up for sale Well at least their squad, except Parker. Not much for a salvage operator there then.
Ricky Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Wolves are being linked to Robbie Keane, that would be a great signing for them. There is talk of a £1m loan deal for the season with £65k wages. If his wages were lower he'd be a great signing.
mickbrown Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Noble wouldnt be a bad option if cheap enough! Nobody is leaving on the cheap!

LeChuck Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Noble wouldnt be a bad option if cheap enough! Agree with that, Noble would be fantastic for us alongside N'Zonzi.
47er Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 There's one player of West Ham's I'd like----"Junior Stanislaus" but I bet he's not in the sale.
Commondore Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Nobody is leaving on the cheap! How do you rate Alessandro Diamanti? I've seen some fantastic highlights involving him this season, is he the real deal or more of a MOTD-player?
mickbrown Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 How do you rate Alessandro Diamanti? I've seen some fantastic highlights involving him this season, is he the real deal or more of a MOTD-player? He is more of a MOTD player, very significant for me Zola has left him out of the last couple of games when we needed a result. He might come on in his second season but wouldn't be surprised to see him head back to Italy.

I'd describe him as very quick, quite strong (but will bulk up further) and very tricky. One with a real future?

One with a real future? He is quick but not strong. He is right footed but for some reason better known to Zola he has played mostly on the left so basically he has cut inside all season and not got to the by-line. He has potential to be a dead ball specialist but not there yet. For me he needs to play games in the championship for 12 months, not ready to be a starter in the premier league.

But for the complete ineptness of Hull and Burnley he very nearly got that mick!
SAS Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 West ham have had a bid of £4m rejected by WBA for a player.. Where has this money come from. We are a well run club no high wages like west ham but yet we could not bid that..

We are a well run club no high wages like west ham but yet we could not bid that.. At least we know they have money to throw around - the price just went up for West Ham on any potential signings.... We cant do that because we dont have owner willing to put anything in anymore!!

So you wouldn't rate him good enough to be "carried" by the team (i.e having him play behind one or two strikers and packing the rest of the midfield with hard workers)? You guys had a horrible season and probably couldn't afford a player who don't really contribute defensively, but would you say that he could flourish in a team not balancing just above the relegation zone? We more or less carried Benni McCarthy for three seasons, and most of the time his brilliance weighed up for his laziness.
Hughesy Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Wonder if Benni will 'feature' next season for West Ham FANTASTIC WORK by our Board to get rid of him for the deal we got

Not sure, he has talent there is no doubting that but he also has a lot of negative issues. He is very one footed, tries to shoot from 50 yards, work-rate is suspect and very lightweight and I am still yet to see him head the ball.......
