9 Birmingham 37 -8 50

10 Stoke City 37 -10 47

11 Blackburn 37 -15 47

12 Fulham 37 -3 46

13 Sunderland 37 -7 44

Arsenal v. Fulham

Aston Villa v. Rovers

Bolton v. Birmingham

ManU v. Stoke

Wolves v. Sunderland

If I, as a relative newbie interpret the table correctly, 9th is theoretically possible IF Bolton beat Birmingham by 7+ (Coyle prove your genius!), AND the Rovers beat Villa, AND Stoke lose or draw to ManU. Slim odds.

Rovers can take 10th (Happy Days!) if: 1) the Rovers beat Villa, and Stoke lose or draw to ManU; or, 2) Rovers tie Villa, and Stoke loses to ManU, and Arsenal beat or draw Fulham; 3) Rovers lose by 1 to Villa, but Fulham lose to Arsenal, and Sunderland loses or draws to the Wolves, and ManU beats Stoke by 5+.

Did I miss any combination as to what other teams would have to do for the Rovers to take 10th? Personally, I don't think options 1 and 2 are all that unrealistic.

10th is realistic but 9th is a pipe dream.

At the moment he looks a much safer bet than Rio. Id definetly take Terry, Rio and Dawson and id now take King as the 4th centre back. Much better than Upson

And that (plus a paucity of keepers and poor fullbacks) in a nutshell is why we'll be home well before the final.

btw anybody else notice Wayne Bridge turn his back on the cross for Spurs goal?? World Cup class my arse.

That's not fair though. If you loan a keeper out with ample back-up at the club you shouldn't be punished for injuries that happen 8/9 months later. You wouldn't think it was unfair if it happened to Rovers, so you have to be fair to City.

Eh? I rem Simon Garner in goal for Rovers. It looked like someone had doubled the size of our goals!

I agree. 10th is realistic....but its a hard point we need to pick up.

I think 11th is already ours as a minimum - however 10th would cap off a very good season for us.

10th & a Semi Final after last season is fantastic! It would give us around £2.3m extra in placings money too, which can then be added to the Benni money, & extra TV money we have received!!

I can see us finishing 12th, which is slightly better than our budgeting. Maybe Villa will be disheartened and we can nick a point to finish 11th.

If we nick the draw then to finish eleventh do you either see Stoke beating/drawing with Man U or Fulham beating Arsenal? Both are less likely than us getting a draw IMO.

A win will get us 10th.

A draw should get us 10th.

A loss will likely get us 11th, maybe 12th.

One negative from last night's result is that Villa can now finish 5th if they beat us and City lose at West Ham, so Villa have something to play for. If City had not lost they would have had nothing to play for.

Most expecting a figure between 20-25p in the pound.

This money will most likely be allocated over a five-year period with the club's 400 plus "trade creditors" - local businesses, charities and other suppliers - at the back of the queue behind so-called "football creditors", who must be repaid in full under football's rules.

This group includes clubs still owed over £17m in transfer fees by Portsmouth, and current and former players who are owed almost £5m in bonuses, wages and image rights payments.

Pompey's current owner Balram Chainrai will also get his outstanding £14.2m loan repaid in full but his three predecessors - Sacha Gaydamak, Sulaiman Al-Fahim and Ali Al-Faraj - will have to accept the same reduced rations on offer to the non-football, unsecured creditors.

Prominent among this group is Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC), which is owed £17.1m in taxes and National Insurance contributions.

So does that mean?!

£36.2m owed – 100% over 5 years = £7.24m per year

100m approx – 20p in the pound - £20m over 5 years = £4m per year - so a total of £11.25m

PL turn down Fulhams request to move thier final game

Good on the premier league for refusing this one.....hopefully this will ensure Fulham play a much weakened side at Arsenal & gaurantee 1 less team wont be over-taking us...... :brfc:

Just as an aside, Benni is West Ham's fourth highest earner on £38,000 PW.

Unbelievable.

You have to laugh - Kieron Dyer – £83,000 :lol::lol:

That list doesn't match to the article figures

IMO I doubt someone would be arsed to put a detailed list together like the one above without actual meaning.

Whereas a short article could be cooked up in half an hour.

You could say the article doesn't match to the list figures

There's just no way that list is accurate. Immediately, I can point out Gabbidon, Dyer, and Boa Morte who simply cannot be right. I also have big reservations over Parker, Upson, and Cole earning that much. I'd also be surprised if McCarthy were on ust shy of £40k.

These estimations are almost always hugely over-blown.

I think Sandro is a midfielder.

Spurs have a huge squad already, they'll probably go for quality over quantity, and none of our players fit that bracket at their level.

Wonder if Keane is going back there. Harry has had a huge budget but he has also done great job there. Last summer they did what Spurs normally don´t do. They didn´t buy much and had faith on their current squad. It was a good decision.

Lets see... should I believe your incredulity or the Telegraph reporter? It's a tough one.

anyway you've already asked this and I've responded here..

One things for sure tcj if that list is correct they will not be able to offload the big useless earners nor likely have the funds to fight off suitors for the likes of Carlton Cole and Noble etc. There are some good quality and affordable players further down that list.
