mickbrown Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 True - but what im saying is, its very unusual to get a player who will play for just 1k a week... Mido was still overpaid

alexanders Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 At least Benni Mccarthy was worth his wage! I would still like us to take a look at Mark Noble and we will be able to pay him around £25,000 p/w
yellowsubmarine Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 At least Benni Mccarthy was worth his wage! I would still like us to take a look at Mark Noble and we will be able to pay him around £25,000 p/w Same sentiments too. Don't mind him here at all. Not sure about his price though, he's English so his price will definitely be high.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Early Anelka goal for Chelsea has helped settle their nerves. Not sure who I'd rather see win the league. I don't really like Chelsea or United.
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Sunderland 1-0.... seconds later 1-1 - COME ON WOLVES!!!
Steve Moss Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 The Wolves winning would be an excellent result for us. Besides, I have a soft spot for McCarthy. He has nerve.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Chelsea two nil up with Anelka and Lampard (pen) scoring the goals. Wigan have a man sent off too. Game, set and match to Chelsea.
gumboots Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 The Wolves winning would be an excellent result for us. Besides, I have a soft spot for McCarthy. He has nerve. anyone who gets the better of Roy Keans is ok in my book.
Iceman Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Drogba and Lampard, having a heated conversation about the penalty. So far so good for us, results all going our way at the moment.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Another goal for Chelsea to make it 7 AGAIN this season. They've been unbelievable at times this season. Oh and poor Wigan have conceded 7 again in London
OsloRover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 30 points and a decent GD enough to stay up this year, must be some sort of a record?
American Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Worst GD for Wigan and they were comfortably safe. Embarrassing. I swear Ancellotti was just holding his leg like he hurt it after jumping up and down celebrating.
Rovermatt Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'm thrilled to see United robbed on the last day. It couldn't happen to a nicer club. Chelsea have been good this season but for all their goals they should have had the leagued wrapped up before now.
Amo Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Glad that Drogba won the golden boot. Yeah, he's a prima donna, but he's often overlooked by the pundits (for that very reason) when he's a better striker than Rooney and Torres.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'm thrilled to see United robbed on the last day. They were hardly robbed Matt. I took great joy watching them cry into their yellow and green scarves in glorious High Def for a good ten minutes this afternoon
Eddie Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Glad that Drogba won the golden boot. Yeah, he's a prima donna, but he's often overlooked by the pundits (for that very reason) when he's a better striker than Rooney and Torres. Really? More of a flat-track bully to me. Rooney and Torres can unlock any defense whereas Drogba is only very effective when he can run over defenders. Give me Rooney or Torres any day.
Plastic Head Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'd have given up the win today for a 4-0 defeat if I could have been at OT...counting the goals as they went in at Stamford Bridge. I heard the Stoke did a pretty good job of taking the peee.
Ossydave Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 So the dingles conceded more goals than any other team, they're even having the pee taken out of them in the Striker page in this weeks Nuts mag
JAL Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'm thrilled to see United robbed on the last day. It couldn't happen to a nicer club. Chelsea have been good this season but for all their goals they should have had the leagued wrapped up before now. Me too, after listening to Fergie addressing the OT crowd and seeing United first hand at Ewood you just cant help but feel this time the game is up for United in winning another premier league title for a long time to come, hip, hip, hooray.
cn174 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I don't think Boa Morte will be at West Ham for much longer after his little talk to the BBC just now. He said that Sullivan should be more careful when talking to the press, stop hammering the team because it is not helping the situation etc. He is right, but I doubt it will go down very well!
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Boa Morte just sealed his transfer. As for Everton - just how lucky have they been in recent weeks - pompey had a goal ruled out that wasnt even close to offside.
LeChuck Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Boa Morte's contract was up and he knew he wasn't being offered a new one. Wonder where he'll end up? Decent player if he's fit, but that was his only game of the season I believe.
Steve Moss Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Despite returning to the PL, Newcastle is still in the hole and has no transfer kitty. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1275855/Newcastle-United-money-spend-return-Premier-League.html
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I heard the Stoke did a pretty good job of taking the peee. "You're not Champions anymore!"
Rovermatt Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 They were hardly robbed Matt. Just a figure of speech.
