Really? More of a flat-track bully to me. Rooney and Torres can unlock any defense whereas Drogba is only very effective when he can run over defenders. Give me Rooney or Torres any day.

Really? Torres before Drogba? Age aside, I can't see it. If you'd swapped the two this season I think they're clubs would have finished in very different positions. Torres is class but way too often injured. Rooney is sidelined too often for a lad his age too. Drogba is an animal.

The Dingles around here are saying that Phil Brown is going to take over from Brian Laws at Burnley, with the comments being attributed to Nicko's mate Owen Coyle, any truth in this nicko ?

None.

Nothing going on. Yet, anyway.

Laws is trying to sign players and re-sign others.

Owen wouldn't know anyway...or even be interested.

Some people at Burnley make you howl.

Every time one of their players gets linked with Bolton it's some form of conspiracy or part of a grand plan.

I know of about seven players Bolton want. None of them play for Burnley.

Anyway I thought I wasn't going to get any Burnley stories after he left... ;)

Zola, a manager who wanted the beautiful game played, didn't quite work out.

Nice guy but sadly lacking in experience - difficult club, for him, to manage though I imagine due to the previous/current owners.

Ultimately Zola did a poor job though, especially considering he had Clarke alongside him (who Mourinho once said could take over as Chelsea boss).

I know they had injuries, but they still have a very solid spine with Upson, Parker, Behrami, Carlton Cole etc. Plus Benni was a ridiculous waste of money, I bet the next manager isn't going to pleased to be lumbered with him.

If Zola going means Diamanti is available, I'd love us to sign him. I can't think of a better Pedersen replacement really (realistic, of course).

West Ham are one of the most poorly run outfits around in football. It is such a shame for Zola and some of their fans because the true hammers fans that I know are gutted about the dildo twins being in charge.

WHAM have no money and have a squad that is ripe for raping and pillaging. I cannot see their best player in Parker staying when all around him are being sold to pay off debts.

they usually have a fine youth system, this is no longer the case and long term wise there doesnt seem to be much hope with leaches such as Benni McCarthy bleeding them dry whilst producing nothing on the pitch.

West Ham are a team that so easily COULD be a top 10 team, I fear and believe they will seriously struggle next season even if they get a half decent manager. Its the players they need to produce sadly that is clearly lacking due to serious pompylike management of their club.

There is no doubting the fact that the Icelandic mob were an absolute disaster and we will be paying for their incompetance for the next 5 years I reckon. As for the dildo twins Sullivan is a complete t*sser, Gold less so.

The owners have said we will have a net spend in the summer, whether this is true only time will tell.

As for the youth system its still very very strong, Collison, Noble, Hines, Stanislas and Tomkins are all slowly breaking through into the 1st team. We have Nouble England u19 striker, Hall England U17 striker and Fanimo and Turgett both England U16 internationals. The Under 16 team has also broken all records for West Ham at that level.

So please get your facts right before you make sweeping statements.

Sadly Mick I have got the statement right. Only Noble is anywhere near the quality or standard that the likes of Joe Cole and Frank Lampard was at his age. The others are nowhere near. Over the years you have had a production line and if you are relying on the likes of Stanislaus or Hines you will come a cropper. One of your best prospects has even been away from the club on loan when he is a far better option, young Sears is a class act or could be and yet where is he ?

Your club is bleeding cash to the likes of Dyer and it will continue to do so.

I have no gripe with Wham but with your recent issues you have become a club thats as much a circus as Newcastle and Man City.

Cole and Lampard are 2 world class players, no youth set up in the world can continue to produce players of that quality.

If you say having 4 current England U21 internationals is a youth system gone wrong, I would like you to name a club with more ?

We are still producing very good players who hopefully will all have a premier league future. Collison is a massive loss as he has the potential to be top class.

As for Sears he has gone backwards, he hasn't shown much out on loan and didn't score at all last season(apart from the infamous non-goal).

He is still young though, so fingers crossed.

There is no doubting we are in a financial mess but we do now have owners who are willing to put money into the club.

They also like signing players behind the manager's back, releasing statements to the press against players, managers and everything else and dressing like Michael Jackson if he was blind. The porno boys do have money, but they lack professionalism, discretion and all semblence of decency.

The two Hammers owners do get a lot of stick, and obviously with their brum connections I think they are total dickheads, but despite the unprofessional approach to Zola, when they get their own man in they will try and back him as best as they can. They are prone to silly rush of blood comments to the media but I think they should be grateful having them after the egg spent so much on some ridiculous champions league dream, I mean God how much were they actually spending on the flop that was Llungberg. Bought injury prone players on such large wages. They are lucky people wanted to take the mess on.

Must be frustrating when you remember a team with Rio, Lampard, Carrick, Cole, Defoe, G.Johnson, Kanoute, and others.

As for the new batch, think Collison looks top drawer shame about his injury, Tomkins looks ok, Hines looks ok, Stanislas a bit crap but they're ok.

A good solid experienced manager and a prudent summer and I think they will be decent if they keep Parker.

Rooney > Drogba > Torres. 'nuff said.

Whilst very different kinds of strikers, I'd say Torres is the best of the three. Unfortunately he's out injured far too often and plays for rubbish team and up front on his own. On his day, he's simply unplayable and probably the most clinical finisher around.

I think all three are fantastic players (and that Drogba is, for some strange reason still under-rated) but I'd have Rooney because of his age and attitude.
