The Rover of Finland Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 It isn't Torres by any chance? I don´t think Real fans like Atletico players.
Exiled_Rover Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 With all the players currently all over the world, I doubt there would be much buzz going on especially before pre-season! One last clue, the player is NOT English. So a player in the Premier League that'd be a coup for La Liga who's not English. Hmmm. One of the Liverpool lads perhaps?
brian_gallagher85 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I don´t think Real fans like Atletico players. I was more interested in the La Liga line, I had completely forgotten the player in question was going to Real
roversfan99 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Doubt it because i think he said theyre after Di Maria. A front four of Ronaldo Kaka Di Maria behind Higuain would win any other league easily, shame about Barca...
tcj_jones Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I've got to go with Torres. From what Bobby is saying, it can't be the obvious ones: Lampard, Gerrard, Drogba, Mascherano, or Vidic, whilst Fabregas is only every going to go to Barcelona. He'd be a huge loss to the Premier League.
EwoodGlory Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I would go with Carvalho if they've been knocked back for Vidic.
Commondore Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 With all the players currently all over the world, I doubt there would be much buzz going on especially before pre-season! One last clue, the player is NOT English. I would say Torres as well, even if it seems strange as he is an Atlético legend... BTW, how strong is the rivalry between the Madrid clubs?
Roberto Policano Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 BTW, how strong is the rivalry between the Madrid clubs? Like You and Burnley and the auld firm clubs.
modes98 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 was deadly serious says the players are buzzing at the news Well considering the loan repayments I think your "source" is a bit crazy! Unless Vidic moves, which seems more and more likely. Man Utd just don't have money to spend anymore. I don´t think Real fans like Atletico players. I think every Real Madrid fan would be over the moon to have Torres, it wouldn't matter where he has been. To Torres it might though! Especially with Barca nabbing Villa it is important that Madrid get a world class striker and Torres is that.
roversam Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 utd have funds available to spend this summer. They will also raise funds selling players. Tosic and Foster have already brought in over 10million.
roversam Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Roberto looks spot on with Fabiano. See he is the papers today saying how he would like to play for Utd
thenodrog Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Mourinho wouldn't lose his senses and sign Gerrard or Lampard. There's a perfectly good reason why English 'stars' rarely move to the continent. Mourhino's teams require that type of a player....... Only one mind as opposed to the teams of SGE, Wally and Capello.

Especially with Barca nabbing Villa it is important that Madrid get a world class striker and Torres is that. Problem that Torres would face would be if he bombed like so many do at Real. It could blow his career.
cn174 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I've got ssn on in the background and they said that Tevez has been linked with a £40m move to Real.
philipl Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Apart from the fact that Ivory Coast are out, perhaps Drogba to go judging by the number of strikers Chelsea are being linked with?
Amo Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Mourhino's teams require that type of a player....... English players are technically inferior to those on the continent. That's why nobody signs them. All this talk about the Premier League being the greatest in the world is only because it has all the dough. Name one English player who's come close to repeating his success on the continent?

Am I allowed a Taff? If so then John Charles. Linekar and Keegan did OK and Owen Hargreaves peaked at Bayern.
Amo Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Am I allowed a Taff? If so then John Charles. Linekar and Keegan did OK and Owen Hargreaves peaked at Bayern. Hargreaves doesn't count. His career was born and raised in Germany.
ewoodpo Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6232375,00.html Mark Hughes could be going to Dubai , Bobby have you heard anything about this out there.
budha Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Am I allowed a Taff? If so then John Charles. Linekar and Keegan did OK and Owen Hargreaves peaked at Bayern. Derbyshire
Bobby G Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Torres would never go to Real. Lifetime Atletico fan. They would kill him if he moves. Barcelona is another story though. However, as always money does talk.
