RovertheHill Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Burnley beating Everton What a terrible August so far - hope we win the Ashes to cheer me up
T4E Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Burnley winning again... Anyone worried that this lot could be better than us? Massively.
RovertheHill Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Dean Ashton finished. Retirement Interestingly have you read the 2 comments below that article. The first is from a West Ham fan and the second is from someone called Dan Silver. I seem to recall he was the guy I wrote to complaining about Oliver Holt's "racist" accusations about Paul Ince's sacking and I got no reply - he was pretty quick to reply to that Irons fan though
Amo Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Burnley winning again... Anyone worried that this lot could be better than us? *facepalm*
John Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 With Lescott seemingly off to Man City now, wonder who Everton will target as replacement(s). Taylor from Newcastle has been strongly linked, however they are likely to bring in 2 defenders.
modes98 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 They could start a bidding war for Warnock. Lets start at £15m
67splitscreen Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Can't see this comment going down well with MON. When coupled with their awful form at the end of last season, midfielder Steve Sidwell has revealed that there are concerns amongst the current squad that the team are showing relegation form. Villa. Would he fill the void in MF.
John Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 David Moyes rushes out for a Russian and lines up £10M Lokomotiv Moscow skipper Diniyar Bilyaletdinov
Big Fat Sam Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 He needs to do something. He's a bit like MON in that respect is Moyes.
Bobby G Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Pandev should be joining West Ham for 5 million Euros.
alexanders Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Goran Pandev? 5 million Euros?? Lescott bid accepted Even Moyes being a push-over, but what a ridicolous price! He is overrated!
Bobby G Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Pandevs contract runs out next summer, plus there will be a 50% of next sale clause in there.
Neil Weaver Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Burnley winning again... Anyone worried that this lot could be better than us? Tempting fate maybe, but I remember this from a few years ago........'They (Carlisle United) were promoted to the First Division for the 1974-75 season. They won their first three fixtures of the campaign to top the table, but finished the season in bottom place and were relegated.' Give it another 6 or 8 games and let's see how things look.
Bobby G Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Metro linking Modric to United in exchange for Carrick!
ffan Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Fulham linked with Grégory Cerdan, a center back who Blackburn were linked with.
Eddie Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Pandevs contract runs out next summer, plus there will be a 50% of next sale clause in there. Really amazing deal for them. With the likes of Pandev, Altidore, Banega and a few others seemingly being available on the cheap or on good offers you have to wonder how we have struggled to fill such obvious gaps in our side.
CAPT KAYOS Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Tempting fate maybe, but I remember this from a few years ago........'They (Carlisle United) were promoted to the First Division for the 1974-75 season. Also closer than that - the season when notlob towered above averybody after about 5 games (can't remember the season) Anyway its not them we have to worry about ...moreso our own back yard
67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 One of the West Ham MB's is saying they have signed/loaned Pendev.
mickbrown Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 One of the West Ham MB's is saying they have signed/loaned Pendev. Cannot see it happening.
67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Cannot see it happening. In a surprising twist to this particular Lazio saga, English outfit West Ham United are believed to have agreed a fee for the Biancocelesti's Macedonian forward, Goran Pandev. According to calciomercato.com, the Roman club have reportedly accepted West Ham's offer of an initial €5 million. Should Pandev move on from the Hammers in a year or two, Lazio would receive 50 per cent of the transfer fee. The carrier pigeon
Big Fat Sam Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Pandev is a quality player and at only 5M euro's thats a great deal. Banega can pass the ball and plays deep I wouldn't be adverse to seeing him in our squad.
DeadlyDirk Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Really amazing deal for them. With the likes of Pandev, Altidore, Banega and a few others seemingly being available on the cheap or on good offers you have to wonder how we have struggled to fill such obvious gaps in our side. Agree about Pandev, very good deal, if it turns out to be 5m/loan then great business, very good player and I think he's suited well to the premiership, clever player, might just turn Carlton Cole into the complete forward who seems to be forever improving.
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 £5m + 50% is a great deal? Glad we have JW in charge!!
Grabbi Graeme Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 SSN saying that Man City are tying up a deal for former Arsenal and Barca left back Silvinio on a freebie.
