Antgrad Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Give it time, but there should be some light at the end of one tunnel. You know we've no patience, Nicko. Time as in today or this week? I'm guessing Di Santo is on his way in.
CrazyIvan Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 this shows gignac's 21 goals this season for those asking what's he like Seems some decent finishes but some godawful goalkeeping!
gumboots Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Seems some decent finishes but some godawful goalkeeping! Have to say that with a few exceptions french keepers are not particularly brilliant.
Oklahoma Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Not ROvers news but it could make a diference: Benfica is going to sign the colombian striker Falcao for 4 million €. That leaves Benfica with Saviola, Cardozo, Nuno Gomes, Falcão, Mantorras. Cardozo could be sold... Real Madrid signed Benzema for €35 million.
Torgeir Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Have to say that with a few exceptions french keepers are not particularly brilliant. You make it sound like the English are any better Maybe the only difference is that there aren't any exceptions there. Anyway, Gignac seems unrealistic to me and it's scary that Davies seems our only realistic target. £10 million for him makes £18 million for RSC a bargain. I guess if Bolton can bring Anelka to the club (and later Elmander) Gignac is a possible for us too. How much would Zigic cost though?
neophox Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Nicko: Is Van Der Meyde having a medical at Brockhall? And the striker joining could well be Mr.Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Cardozo? Either will be lovely!
gbax Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Nicko: Is Van Der Meyde having a medical at Brockhall? He can't have a medical yet, as he has just undergone surgery.

No Keepers in the prem are not brilliant either but they are still on the whole better than the ones that play in france. And you're right - actual english keepers are in general poor.
herbergeehh Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Nicko: Is Van Der Meyde having a medical at Brockhall? And the striker joining could well be Mr.Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Cardozo? Either will be lovely! I suspect Nicko won't answer that yet, and as he said - Van Nistelrooy was too expensive in salaries, and Cardozo was too expensive in fee. WAS is a key element though, something must've changed somewhere. I'm guessing Piquionne by the way.
Saahil Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Who This Piquionne http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J16f1Z4-IDU
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 The movement won't be Di Santo as Ancelotti hasn't had a chance to watch him yet. Unless 4 hours training this morning was enough. I'm guessing it's a slightly cheaper striker as 2nd/3rd choice.
gazsimm Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 sam is going to pull of a bargain again i think. He knows how to spot players and can attract players to the club unlike our last manager. Good times ahead!!
Iceman Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 The striker might be Guiza, but obviously im guessing just to stir things up again. Lol. Van der meyde im not too sure on. More injury prone players, but if Sam can keep the likes of Reid, Dunny and VDM injury free, then we will be a solid squad.
Nayef Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Reports are coming in on sky news now that Sam Allardyce is about to sign Kurt de Jager.
Presty On Tour Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 My guess is Van Nistelrooy and his agent are in talks with us.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Ince is in talks with MK according to SSN Breaking News.
braddock Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Reports are coming in on sky news now that Sam Allardyce is about to sign Kurt de Jager. who?
gumboots Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Reports are coming in on sky news now that Sam Allardyce is about to sign Kurt de Jager. Who? sorry bit slow there
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 who? I think Nayef is on a Mickey take, I've got SSN on, plus there doesn't even seem to be a Kurt De Jager who is a footballer.
