Roversider
If he stays fit yes, but think he has major problems!! If Ashton is being linked to Stoke does that infer James Beattie may be moving?

nicko
If Ashton is being linked to Stoke does that infer James Beattie may be moving? The story isn't right...and Beattie did well when he was at Stoke. If Ashton is fit and OK he stays at West Ham, if he is unfit then he won't be able to leave. It's just a daft tale. gumboots
If Ashton is being linked to Stoke does that infer James Beattie may be moving? More likely that they have plenty of money to spend having a wealthy owner. Although on the interview I saw with him he was cagy about how much they would spend he certainly suggested that there was plenty of cash for Pulis to use. They would take him to play with Beattie or Fuller [who is a very under-rated player but would never pass a medical]. But the Ashton thing is just p1sh. AJW
If I mentioned the name I heard two weeks ago I would in all likelihood be killed. just has to be barry ferguson doesnt it , i know he has come in for some awful stick from rovers fans , but looking back he was just beginning to look a good player when he got injured at newcastle , after that he just wanted to go home , ....shame
Rathbone Market
Ashton is apparently doing well after having his first, 'botched' operation sorted by two top specialist surgeons. Am being told very positive things about him and hope that he has finally turned a corner. He is our best player and someone I rate very highly. Personally I hope he makes the World Cup squad and makes up for the injury which started all his poblems- Shaun W-P tackle during England training. Yours, Hopeful from London... gumboots
Mrs Gumboots you spelt EVERY wrong. Sorry im just bored, and depressed the way things are going in the transfer market. That's because I typed it first without the r and just thought that was what I'd missed out. Didn't realise that I'd also put 2 e's in and didn't bother to check it when I corrected the original mistake. Typed too many reports in school in the last few days. Stopped seeing my mistakes. Will try harder next time.

Hopefully with Sam back after his hols, and with most of the PL players reporting back too, things will start to pick up and get a move on. A lot of great players have emerged from Zagreb: Davor Suker, Niko Kranjcar, Luka Modric, Eduardo Da Silva and Ivica Olic. I have always liked the Croatian National team and the players always seems to give their best. They also seem to have the attributes to fit in the Premier league more so than spanish and south-americans often bandied around. I have to say I was extremely insulted by your comment. nicko
Give me Mario Mandzukic SAM! For what it's worth I was checking on this player in another context yesterday...and there is NOTHING doing with him just now because his club wants too much. The THREE CLUB RULE story from yesterday was just talk. Edited...because I was referring to the wrong Belgrade club.
Iceman
Nicko any idea if Coyle has any Cigars left? Lol But 3 quick questions for you Mr Nixon. Will the Owen camp look abroad rather than sell to a team like Stoke or Hull? Or are they that desperate to find him a new club? And will he take a cut in his wages? Or drink. But he does play cards. Owen hopes that Villa come in or he may have to go to Everton for less money. I don't see him going to Stoke or Hull. He will HAVE to take a cut in wages. He was on £120,000-a-week-ish at Newcastle. The Villa deal he wishes for is around half of that, slightly less. I would rather not talk about him if you don't mind. unleaded
I heard Mr Williams logs on to this site and just wanted to tip him off on a player by the name of Ibrahima Niasse...................Rated at 4 million Euros the Senegalese midfielder (21) who is currently playing for Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax..............................Well worth buying now before he goes for 3 times the price in a few years.......... Reports in France saying that Rothen is on wages of 160 000 euros(monthly)!!.......................and for him to get out of his contract it will take 3 840 000 euros.....................................Rovers want him for nought.............
