DI SANTO...you know the score, you have first shout, Chelsea are letting Ancelotti look at him first...no change, all well...just wait.

THE EGYPTIAN...nobody can seriously want him...not a Premier League player.

OWEN...I like Steve Stammers, but I don't think he is right on that one.

your off your head..............that egyptian fella was pure class with every touch he had from the moment he came on as a sub against brazil to the moment he was sent off.

i was saying while the match was on this fella would walk into our team

Are we talking about Al-Muhammaddi?

Out of interest Nicko are the two named players about the same age as Davies or younger?

Funnily enough, one is.

yeah, the fella that beat his man every time, looked quick and put a string of accurate balls in from the byline.........handled the ball on the line like but i'd kind of expect any player to do that in the last minute to avoid a certain goal.

He is, yes.

I thought he played well against Brazil, no idea about the match after that. Wasn't he suspended though....?

According to FIFA Al-Muhamaddi was an unused sub...the number 3...the big guy who runs up and down the touchline and crosses without looking.

The Al-Muhamaddi I saw against the USA wasn't too impressive.

The number 3 is who was being discussed in the other thread. Is he not the one who we were interested in?

The number 3 who was over on trial, thought he was joining in January despite playing in an Egyptian Cup final first AFTER the deadline...yes, that's him.

Checked the game details and he DID come on...FIFA have him as unused.

So it is the same Number 3 who played against the USA and looked pretty one-dimensional. Is he better than Emerton or Diouf even?

If we judged players on one game, Mokoena would be playing for Real Madrid.

Shikabala on trial seems a possibility? Our Jay Jay?

The Number 3 has been watched by Rovers over the course of a year...and he is still in Egypt. That's not the evidence of one game.

Ok, here is what I know about Cardozo.

He has played 55 matches because this season he was not a first team player. The manager prefered Suazo (wrongly in my opinion).

Still, he managed to be Benfica's best striker.

His release clause is €50 million. Of course it is insurance against bigger teams. It is not a requirement...

£6 million is just laughable... If Benfica sells him for that money, I will make sure the president is taken to a mental institution.

So far, the price that the local press mention for him is around €20 million.

He was recently selected has the highest prospect in portuguese football...

I believe Oscar Cardozo would be the perfect replacement for Roque. 2 years younger, 1,94 cm tall and also a free kick specialist and good with the head!

Another FM legend being linked i see (I usually sign him as a Roque replacement on FM09- similar stats, playing style but with the added extra of a decent freekick).

Looking at his stats they are pretty decent, 55 games at Benfica over 2 seasons and 30 goals.

Finding it very hard to believe he is available for £6 million, if he is then Sam sign him up!

There is an awful lot going on at the club in the last 24 hours that suggests to me some of the high-ups are looking at alternatives to Kevin Davies, but the manager is still fixed on that course.

.

Our high ups know sweet FA about footballers. The manager must be allowed to manage. The screw up with the Prem nowadays is that it takes at least 3-4 years before a manager can call the squad his own....... but the average Prem manager only lasts about 2 years in his job.

If we judged players on one game, Mokoena would be playing for Real Madrid.

Or even to quote Cloughie ......... Nottingham Pork Butchers. :rover:

Nihat was mentioned by someone on here yesterday...he is about to join Besitkas for decent money and huge wages.

Do you know the price? It was quoted to being around £7m.

This might mean that Villareal have been impressed with Altidore during the Confed Cup and are thinking about keeping him as a 3rd or 4th striker behind Llorente and Rossi?

Nicko anything happening on Andy Carroll? Any teams interested or is he likely to stay at Newcastle?

Good prospect but raw. Newcastle can't let him go surely. And would he be a partner for Di Santo?

I'm sure some expert will suggest a great re-sale value...

is sam back today of his hols Nicko?

I know he is very active on the phone - and has been for the past couple of days.

Egyptian side ENNPI Cairo claim Blackburn are interested in signing winger Ahmed Al Muhammadi, who had a spell on trial at Ewood Park last season under former manager Paul Ince.

Speak of the devil.

I think they are trying to create a sale...

I understand, but I can see this one happening.

Allardyce looking for a young and versatile right winger/back. We have been monitoring Egypt's games and according to people on here he was impressive.

He also got a red card which means he will fit right in to BRFC !
