Stupidity taken to a higher level. Well done.

I don't see what's so stupid about what he said.

In fact the only thing that i see is stupid, is you calling it stupid but not giving a reason why?

i think it`s unreal how you all are letting your `hate bolton` googles blind you from the truth, kevin davies has been the best and most consistant targetman in the premier league for the best part of a decade now. yes he flopped at ewood, but that was before sam taught him how best to play the game with his physiche.

i still don`t think this signing will happen, as bolton will ask for even more than 5m in my opinion and although i believe that sam would pay as much as 7m myself, the board won`t sanction that amount for a 32 yr old.

If the story is correct we should welcome back Davies with open arms.

One of the most effective, proven strikers in the league, feared by opponents and rarely injured.

Great signing if it comes off.... look forward to seeing him back at Ewood.

you really do orgasm off winding folk up dont you....try xnxxx

Lets not forget Davies is Boltons player of the season for two years in a row and club captain. He is a proven menace and will score an average, not breath-taking, amount of goals per season. I very much doubt anyone says he is a world clas player but he does a very good job for a poor team.

I think that lots of clubs would take him, even if they say they wouldn't. The main problem is that we support blackburn rovers, the destination of his terrible, terrible season, where he looked lazy and useless. If we can block that out we can see he is a very handy player who lots of bolton fans rate highly

i can never block it out the fat pigeon chested waster haunts me.

On the strength of last season - and most of the previous four or five - there is no contest. Davies wins every time.

Roque had ONE good campaign for Rovers.

Check the stats.

look at his inept pathetic boneidle drunken season with us .....###### to stats nicko check the FACTS!!!!!!!!

HE IS ONE EX ROVER THAT DOESNT DESERVE TO EVER WEAR THE FAMOUS SHIRT......HE DISGRACED IT THE THE LAST TIME .

Today's Lancashire Telegraph has poured cold water on the idea, said that it was "extremely unlikely". It also says that the RSC and Derbyshire deas are expeccted to go through in the next 24 hours.

In the same way that they...

1 - denied Andrews was coming.

2 - tried to play down Fowler coming when they missed the story.

3 - said there was no Bentley sell-on clause.

4 - and no Roque price clause.

On a more interesting note, if that card-mark is from 'upstairs' we could have an interesting discussion coming up within the club when Sam gets back.

I'm not against him coming, he is a good player who does his job well, but we can' possibly be paying even half of five million for him can we?!?! He can only have two seasons in him tops.

I can't see how JW would go for that.

- Incidentally, and I think Nicko is a great asset to the board, but I think it is prudent to recognise that Nicko has a massive interest in this. Kevin Davies to Blackburn will generate more column inches than just about any other story likely to come out of Blackburn - the rivalry between the clubs, the return of a former striker, the indication of Sam returning to his old style. People outside the North West will be interested in that.

It will make him a well paid man if he gets paid by the story/word and it runs and runs.

Nothing wrong with Davies imo. We overpaid for him nad he was not the second coming of Shearer that we hoped BUT he was very very badly managed. With a good manager who plays to his strengths he's a top half striker. He doesn't have the silky skills of Berbatov granted and he is not in the same class as Torres (few are) but I would imagine that a centre halves poll would put him in the top 4 'Dislike playing against' centre forwards.

The only down side imo is his age and his re-sale value.

Bolton have no intention of cashing in on Sheffield-born captain Kevin Davies and will robustly reject any bids for the striker.

i hope so we could do soooooo much better.

Hopes based on what exactly rm95? As I've said Davies might not be a top notch striker but he is a top notch target man...... and BRFC can no longer afford 'top notch' anything it seems.

If he comes, he comes. And he comes as a far far better player than the last time he was here. Its same old moaning on this board pre-season after pre-season, let it develop and see who else we bring in.

We have more money available than last season (provided Roque does one) so lets just see what happens.

Gord agree he was paid too much but he didnt even put a shift in for us...hand on heart he is one ex rover who i despice with a vengence.

We were awful that season, went down, new managers, young kid with a massive burden on his shoulders. He has come back bigger and stronger from that

so by your own logic, we can't afford him either!
