Santa Cruzes Into Eastlands

Blackburn Rovers number 9 Roque Santa Cruz is currently undergoing a medical at Manchester City ahead of an £18m move to Eastlands.

After bagging an impressive 23 goals in 43 appearances in his first season, Roque found his second season more difficult having injury problems and only returned 6 goals in 16 appearances.

Rovers had been touted as chasing ex-Rover and current Bolton striker Kevin Davies, however reports today have indicated that Rovers have no desire to sign the 32 year old, who didn't have the best time with the club the first time round. Equally Bolton have moved swiftly to state they have not had an approach for Davies and that they would not encourage such talk.
