[Archived] Contacting The Club..

Recommended Posts

Well hopfully this is the year I'll go back again, is how I started the new year. Well this year is the year I go back. Now i'm still planning it but as far as I'm concerned me and a couple of my boys are going to be heading out over the pond and back to merry ol England come march of next year.

Now as we have it planned were thinking about sometime in late march which would be a good time of the year seeing as they for whatever reason like to go when the weather sucks and it's cold. Now my question for all you fine people is how would I go about contacting the club? The thing is seeing as we are looking at late march I was hoping to catch Rovers vs dingles game away. Now from what I've been told most if not all tickets will be if they haven't been already sold out so it was suggested to me that I contact the club and maybe they would be able to help.

Thanks for your help in advance (I like to plan ahead ;) )

Quite a lot of people I know seem think that folk are going to have visted x amount of away grounds this season to be within a chance of getting a ticket for the game. If that's the case I would be very surprised if you manged to get a ticket.

Doubt it, We are well known for our average away support so even though its Burnley alot of people wont fancy it and

will see it as too much bother. I wasnt a season ticket holder the last time we played them and i got a ticket quite easily!

Any of the modern mediums should do it; Morse code, carrier pigeon, telegram. They're usually excellent at replying, unless you choose the pigeon method as this runs the risk of ending up in a pie. I hear these are being stockpiled for a new signing at the moment so best go with one of the other two.

Why on Earth would you want to come back here from Southern California? In my opinion San Diego is the nearest thing to Paradise I have ever seen. The gaslight district at night and the bar at the top of the Hyatt are not to be missed and the sunshine..................

I'm salivating at the memory.

LOL!!

As for why I would want to go back it's because of Rovers hands down. My last visit (although alone) was the best trip I've ever taken. Wactching Rovers lose to villa at home was a bit of a let down but to be in Blackburn and watching the team I live was like being on cloud 9. Also watching the FA cup semi vs cheski and watching Rovers take it to over time was the best ever. I still remember when we scored I got hugs from ppl I didn't even know! Best ever. This time I'm hoping to

actully play some footy and was thinking the soccer dome would be a good place to start. Also meeting up with some of the nice ppl on the board would be a plus as well.

As for San Deigo I have to agree. My little sister went to uni down there and it was breath taking. I live about 30min from LA so there's some things out here to see as well lol.

American can I get more info about the 5 a side?

Alternatively you could ask that nice steward in the Blackburn End to escort you to the Directors box.

if that's doesn't work I'll just use the "you owe us because we saved your butts in WW2" I think that would work. What do u think?

It's quality getting hugs off randomers at games! I remember at Hull I ended up jumping up 2 rows hugging people. Good times.

It does have a dark side. I remember the Carling Cup Comeback at Charlton a few years ago, when we scored the winner Jordan managed to give me a sneaky bust nose and I ended up 3 rows in front of where I started. I pity those who got in my way!

RoversMum needs seriously nominating for an OBRE (Order of the Blackburn Rovers Empire for the Phillistines who don't get it.)

All the information re contacts etc is on the Rovers official website.

Unfortunately the date for the Burnley match is some distance away but it would still be worth writing to the ticket office or sending an email. They are usually very helpful regarding fans coming from abroad.

See you there!

Yeah I've had a few bust noses and fat lips from celebrating goals.

Dingles at home (FA Cup) I got a bust nose of my sisters ex who's a bouncer as pedersen scored the winner, never felt it though just noticed it when one of my mates pointed it out, also at the OT semi final against chelski, we were in the upper tier of the end stand when we scored my mate fell back over the chairs (it's very steep) and he booted me in the face again it couldn't take anything away from the celebration.

Also I got crushed away at Salzburg when Savage scored that screamer of a free kick. It must be one of them pleasure results in pain things lol. Can't beat that feeling when we score a vital goal.

I tend to agree with this. At present this is the second biggest game of the season for me. I exepct to have a fighting chance of a ticket but expect regular away supporters get priority. TBH I'd be upset if I couldn't get one and an overseas vistor could.

I would feel the same and I know all of my mates' would be, espcially as we're going to 10+ games.

It will be season ticket plus X amount of away games, then a few less away games, then season tickets, then the rest. It would be unlikely there'd be many left after the season ticket + away games sales I would think.
