Backroom DE. Posted July 2, 2009 Backroom Posted July 2, 2009 True, but then, I only claimed I would after an undetermined amount of time it's been like a boxing match. T4E strolls into the DE's ring, and he's trash-talking. DE's wary, he waits to see what T4E's got to offer. T4E throws a jab, doesn't do much damage. DE waits a little while, sounding out the experienced fighter, then BAM, a big hit. T4E's dazed, then POW, DE hits another right in the kisser. It's make or break time for T4E, he has to attack. But he keeps trash-talking and defending, though it's clear to see the match is becoming uneven. DE offers to end the match, saying that all issues can be settled outside the ring. T4E won't allow it, still giving it lip. DE comes forward and SMASH, right in the mush. T4E's wobbly now, all over the show. The referee ends the match, he knows its over. T4E won't accept the decision, he's still mouthing off. He wants to look good in defeat, but the match is already over. A couple more verbal jabs ensue, before T4E's trainer Bryan escorts him out of the ring. Better luck next time.

Backroom DE. Posted July 2, 2009 Backroom Posted July 2, 2009 Light-hearted banter, all in jest though it was a pretty good analogy.
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The Most Haunted team will be dashing over to Jacko's house after this. Jacko's ghost
thenodrog Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 The Most Haunted team will be dashing over to Jacko's house after this. Jacko's ghost A pale figure crossing the landing? Nah......... Can't be his ghost. He was only pale from the neck up.
1864roverite Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 No matter what his history is, you have to admire the tribute and celebration of his life. it was pure quality. despite the misgivings and perceptions of his family, they are very very close. Heartbreaking to see his daughter speak at the end.
Backroom DE. Posted July 7, 2009 Backroom Posted July 7, 2009 Was a very emotional ceremony. Heal the World gave me goosebumps, and the part with Paris at the end was genuinely heartbreaking. She shouldn't have had to do that. Sky News keep replaying it, as well. Seeing it once was enough.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 J.Jackson, crying whilst singing the song 'Smile' was heartbreaking as well. Excellent tribute.
Hughesy Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Heartbreaking to see his daughter speak at the end. Very true - until that part it was fine - but that part was very emotional. the part with Paris at the end was genuinely heartbreaking. She shouldn't have had to do that. Sky News keep replaying it, as well. Seeing it once was enough. I think she wanted to do it.
Guest Kamy100 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Full credit to the people who put that tribute together, it was one of the most moving things that I have ever seen. They got the balance right. His daughter speaking at the end was just too much for me. My prayers are for those 3 children that he has left behind.
Backroom DE. Posted July 7, 2009 Backroom Posted July 7, 2009 I think she wanted to do it. yeah, possibly, but i can't help but get the feeling they should not have been up there in the first place. Is the best way to deal with a very recent parental death to be up on stage in front of thousands of people and billions on TV breaking down in tears?
Hughesy Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Maybe not the best way - but maybe the best way for her to have a voice and throw her opinion into the ring. Its not often they get to speak out.
Rovermatt Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Bizarre stuff quite frankly. Playing your grief out for the prurient interest of the public is strange but totally in keeping with Jackson's life.

Its not often they get to speak out. True - however, Jackson spent his life keeping his children away from the press. The first thing they do when he dies is to put the kids in front of the entire media ? Can't help but think that is not what Jackson would have wanted. Then again, not like they have a chance of having a normal life now anyway. Going to be worse than when he was alive.
Paul Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 All I've seen is the brief coverage on BBC 10.00pm news. I was a little disturbed by the four people pawing at Paris when she was speaking, to what extent she wanted to do this I'm not sure? Listened to a number of interviews with fans on the radio, bizare I can't see how Jackson can be the biological father of Paris, in particular. She looks 100% caucasian to me. White skin tones are recessive?

Grief? Any grief would primarilly be for the gravy train hitting the buffers at the end of the line imo. As for the coffin on the stage? Mawkish.
T4E Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Bizarre stuff quite frankly. Playing your grief out for the prurient interest of the public is strange but totally in keeping with Jackson's life. Well said. He's not the biological father of any of them, clearly. And again. She's no more his daughter than I am. Glad I missed this.
Backroom Tom Posted July 8, 2009 Backroom Posted July 8, 2009 And again. She's no more his daughter than I am. Glad I missed this. What a daft comment, biological or not he has raised that kid for 11 years he was her father. I actually think the youngest kid has a look of Michael about him, he has his eyes. I thought it was a nice tribute all in all, his brother was right, maybe now they will leave him alone. RIP

RIP Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he was a decent enough father to them (when he wasn't dangling them off balconies or giving them "Jesus juice"). Just pointing out that there's no way he is their biological father, no major slight on Jackson intended.
