On the weather- it bucketed down yesterday in Clapham, just seven miles from Lords.

On the outcome of the match, the Aussies took three wickets in three overs on the second morning of the England first innings. I doubt the Aussie batsmen will be similarly bamboozled today and expect this is going to be a cliff hanger result.

On the bad decisions- yes some given were bad but Ponting was indisputably out LBW plumb and there were some equally bad not outs from which the Aussies have benefited from in the second innings.

On the whining- Aussies are certainly world class.

i remeber being told to stop whining when England kept getting the crap decisions in 06. And India were crucified for complaining about some shockers the other year (however pathetic their subsequent flouncing was)

Going to be horrible to watch/listen to for both sets of supporters me thinks

Hope I'm wrong but this has all the makings of a classic England cock-up.

It does doesn't it? Would be horrible to lose it from this position, and wouldn't leave me with much hope for the rest of the season.

The first session this morning is absolutely huge.

Difference is they aren't 50/50's (which I can take), they are blatantly incorrect decisions. This test for me will decide if England go to win the series, such and important test and we get umpire decisions like that?

They went upstairs for Bopara, what would have been the harm in doing the same for Hughes? What would it have hurt other getting the right decision which is what we all want at the end of the day anyway?

England won't lose. Best Australia can hope for is a draw.

Eh? Given the good weather forecast, a draw is by far the least likely of all the possible results.

If England don't take 5 more wickets they'll lose. Simple as that.

For what it's worth I think England will win quite comfortably.

You guys are hilarious!

There is no way Australia can win it from here. Half the fun of the ashes is watching the English supporters torment themselves.

Yes but you're forgetting the English ability to lose it! :D

Clarke gone - great innings from him. Now lets skittle them off quickly so that I can get some work done today.

All over, good win by England, consistent bowling and took full advantage of the horrible umpiring.

Australia will be dissapointed for sure but with everything that has gone against them in this match will feel confident going into the next test.
