neekoy Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Both are equally as likely really, just depends on which England side turns up. I would expect the one that is picked pg....

RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 England won the toss and have decided to bat. Only one spinner, Onions out Harmison in, Trott obviously in. Unchanged side for Australia, no specialist spinner.

Iceman Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Quote from my missus tonight: "You know, Flintoff is not un-attractive" Cause for concern there PG with that comment. Lol
DeadlyDirk Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Very glad we won the toss, think we have a chance now, if Australia had batted first I couldn't see them losing from there. Big day for england, especially the middle order!!
SouthAussieRover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Quote from my missus tonight: "You know, Flintoff is not un-attractive" Quote from my missus. "Who said Cook was a Test player?"
Billy Castell Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Using the Red Button for TMS. Sounds an interesting battle between quick short bowling and batsmen hitting a few runs. Bell might have a hamstring/calf problem now.
Flopsy Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Quote from my missus. "Who said Cook was a Test player?" Not me, the (Please don't use that word again)ing useless get
AussieinUk Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Strauss out, but England making a very good start. Could the Aust selectors have this one wrong, by not picking the specialised spinner?
ffan Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hilfenhaus delivery that got Strauss a huge no ball yet nothing is said on here or anywhere but if an English bowler had done it there would have been uproar.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Cook isn't a bad player, he's still developing. It's not like there's 20 guys lined up to take his place either.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Good start by England on a flat pitch that isn't offering much to the bowlers so far.
nowthen Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Cook isn't a bad player, he's still developing. It's not like there's 20 guys lined up to take his place either. I'd agree but can see Joe Denly or Stephen Moore getting a look in soon, Cook's only innnings of substance this series was against a very poor bowling effort at Lords.
modes98 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 It's not South Africa Iceman! 195-4! On for 500 I think!
Iceman Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 It's not South Africa Iceman! 195-4! On for 500 I think! Hahaha. Yeah was just giving a few guys some nervous moments. What you talking about South Africa modes? Lol. We have JP Duminy to save the day
Guest Kamy100 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 We just need to keep our nerve, I think that 350-400 would give us a fighting chance, pitch is not going to get any better.
T4E Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Fred gone. Absolutely no need to go after that. Broad to the rescue.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 What a stupid shot by Flintoff! Wrong time for shots like that.
AussieinUk Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Flintoff out to some good bowling by Johnson..
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Flintoff out to some good bowling by Johnson.. Starting to Look like the bowler who destroyed SA and is 3rd in the test rankings.
