Personally, I'm pleased about Andrews signing a new deal with the club. His loyalty and grit is an asset to Rovers and he brings an appreciative, level-headed attitude to the squad. Not that I would have been saying that last summer....

I don't think we'll get anyone in until the end of August now apart from Di Santo maybe. Sam will try and wait for the real merry-go-round which comes at the end of the window. I'll be pleased once Di Santo comes in though. His physical attributes make him a potentially potent weapon next season.

There's no late news tonight. No major news and too many people are at the Keith Andrews contract re-signing street parties.

But I have just heard a really odd one...sadly too late for the paper...so it will have to keep hopefully 24 hours.

One of your lads is going out on loan...shock one.

Tonight's or tomorrow's star prize to the person who gets the name and the club. Just a bit of fun.

If Owen Coyle's Burnley do reasonably well this season, I will be amazed, he will defy all logic in so much that he really has not bought any real premiership experience and is now looking at a Norwich Midfielder!!

Good luck to him if it comes off, he is a good manager, as for Fletcher, he may do OK but I shudder when I thinkthat Kris Boyd was the top scorer in Scottish football last year :o

Boyd played in a team that makes chances galore. Fletcher wasn't my ideal striker, but having seen him pre-season I think he will fit in well.

The Russell thing is a squad option. The Guerrero thing is something else altogether.

I'm gonna guess Hoilett. No idea on the club, though.

You know the last time I looked at the "S" in BRFCS stood for "Supporters". With some of the comments on here if we were involved in a war they may well be shot for being 5th columnists (and to save you looking it up --- a group of people who act traitorously and subversively out of a secret sympathy with an enemy) --- instead try looking up "Lord Haw Haw".

But Lord Haw Haw wasn't a fifth columnist, was he?

Shurely shome mishtake?

Needs improving. Badly.

If I had said Keith Andrews was worth a four-year contract this time last summer I would have been shot...how times change.

Too many of your midfielders have question marks over them. You could do with two new ones. If Andrews stays and you are not selling him that puzzles the life out of me.

Fletcher isn't your manager's type.

I think he will fit rather well into Burnley's style.

Get a feeling that particular cultural debate may go on a bit this season.

Coyley better be careful with the style of football he plays,or he might see Burnley do a West Brom. Pretty football might work for Man United, but not for Burnley in the premiership.

It won't be Emerton, you berks. He'd get into about half Premier League teams.

Van Heerden? Maybe. I think he could have a role to play. Nzonzi? Perhaps, with a recall option.

How about Andrews? It'x change the contract resigning perspective. But he's better than Championship.

Gally wouldn't be a surprise in my view, neither would Judge. Doran seems to be in Sams plans so he'd be a bit surprising.

I'll go for Hoillet and the Government to bomb Ewood in rage at our misleadingness.

EDIT: For some reason I thought he said a Championship team. I maintain my guesses though.
