11.02 Nikola Zigic has declared that he wants to remain at Valencia after turning down offers from other clubs, with Blackburn and Aston Villa having been linked with the Serbian striker.

The thing about Zigic is last season he was down the pecking order, behind Morientes. Reading from that interwiev Morientes in now gone and Zigic is determined to fight for a starting place.

What about Hoffa Nicko?

I say we should still take a look at Mandzukic of Zagreb!

I would not be happy if Warnock left to Villa. He is my favourite player and a top, top, top man.

I met him in Puerto Banus the day after the WBA games. Well sound!

Love the guy.

Never really understood why they were willing to let him go so cheaply!

I would have to say that he is not exactly breaking down the door to get away.

I wonder if Kevin Davies's name came up now - for the first time - whether there would be the same hysterical reaction against him.

Or people would slowly realise that he ticker more boxes than anyone else.

No change from me. I'd rather play next door's cat up front.

The Croatian guy Kalinic, mentioned round here once or twice, is about to move...Portsmouth are over there and will buy him with the money they expect to get for Crouch.

Don't know much about him but his record is good.

Nicko, I know i've asked this before but its more of an update I guess. Do you think Davies would want to come to Rovers judging by what you know of the situation?

I feel like I'm going over old ground here, but there are always ways of getting players if you try hard enough - and play dirty.

Nicko - Just had an idea how much do you think it would cost to get Ronaldo from Corinthians? I cant imagine he is on stupid wages either playing in the Brazalian League. Goal scoring record looks good 17 games 14 goals! Shirt sales would pretty much cover his wages!

I know the fee to get Davies would probably be 7.5 million plus but do you know what the fee for Beattie would be maybe this could become possible if Stoke do sign Ashton.

If you had 12 million to spend on a striker who would you go for?

Are you talking about the old legend Ronaldo that used to play for Madrid? If you are there are 2 reasons he's plaing over there & that is because he's a crock & is overweight. The Brasilian league is slow & technical, he would'nt get through half a game here (another Christian Vieri me thinks!!!)

Technically, the guy is very gifted & is an instinctive finisher, but unfortunately he's pretty much passed it, especially when it comes to playing in any league of Premiership calibre!!!

I would rather play the waiting game than panic buy Kevin Davies for £5m+. The money needs to be invested, not frittered away on 32 year olds.

Better to pay £10m +£2m (additions) now than , £15-16m in Jan when Spurs, Everton,Man City etc get involved i would have thought.

Why would his price go up when he won't have kicked a ball until December?
