Exiled_Rover Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 And if nothing else it's an excuse for a jolly to Amsterdam.

owenrilla Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 one of the Usual Suspects. Not brilliant but I spent long enough fiddling with it I didn't want to waste it. Don't ask why Zigic is headbutting Piquionne.
Backroom Tom Posted July 24, 2009 Backroom Posted July 24, 2009 Can we not have alan smith peeking his head up at the bottom ;p
jny Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Jones appears to not have a shoulder I'm hoping that the striker is Cardozo. Am going to the Leeds game tomorrow as well so come on Rovers.
Lathund Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Can we not have alan smith peeking his head up at the bottom ;p He's Keyser Söze
DeadlyDirk Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Not brilliant but I spent long enough fiddling with it I didn't want to waste it. Don't ask why Zigic is headbutting Piquionne. Brilliant work. I think the time has come to make a wild move for Usain Bolt, he is practically as tall as all of BF's targets and taller than most so would give us the big man option that he is looking for, he had undoubtable pace which hasn't been seen in a Rover shirt since the days of Roy Wegerle, there are certain question marks over his finishing but you could say the same for Jones, Smith, Zigic and co!!! Can we not have alan smith peeking his head up at the bottom ;p He was injured the day that owenrilla got them to pose for the photo
brfcshabba Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Not brilliant but I spent long enough fiddling with it I didn't want to waste it. Good work but you have appeared to have missed off Luca Toni
owenrilla Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Can we not have alan smith peeking his head up at the bottom ;p Just for you (and because the picture was amusing) Jones appears to not have a shoulder I could have claimed it was the chip on his shoulder but it was an error so fixed.
DeadlyDirk Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Just for you (and because the picture was amusing) I could have claimed it was the chip on his shoulder but it was an error so fixed. All you need now is Sam with a pondering look on his face and JW sighing.
Hi Mack Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Good work but you have appeared to have missed off Luca Toni No hes already definately 100% sure to sign so these are the other striking options!
Stevo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Cardozo starts Vs Sunderland. Will be watching with interest. Incidentley, Jones starts too.
brfcshabba Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 No hes already definately 100% sure to sign so these are the other striking options! Ah right, my mistake
Stevo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Amazing chance for Jones. Great cross from the right, he is in space in between two defenders. He has a free header and is only around 6 yards out. Heads wide of the goal. Moments later Cardozo blasts well over from outside the area.

Stevo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 To be fair Jones has caused Benfica problems, but hasn't scored and probably should have two at the moment. Reminds me of someone that plays for us, I'll let you guess who... Cardozo scores a penalty. He has had a quiet game, was well taken though. It is hard to see how Oscar would fit in with how we play, simply because Benfica play such flowing, short passing football. This is no insult to Sam btw. It is simply hard to judge how well he would fit into our system - whatever that will be.

He has a free header and is only around 6 yards out. Heads wide of the goal. Moments later Cardozo blasts well over from outside the area. Now Cardozo's chance to head well wide from about 8 yards out! Maybe he's trying to get his price down? 1-0, Cardoza with a clinical penalty, all he's done so far.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 May not even be at Leeds tomorrow...it's THAT hot. Sam succumbs to Met Office hysteria about a heatwave coming. Christ.
blue and whites Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 i can't understand how s'land can spend x amount money on two strikers, when they clearly lack a lot of quality elsewhere!
Stevo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Where are you watching the match ? Betfair.com mate, got some money riding on it too
Hi Mack Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Look at his penalties on youtube! If nothing else, he never looks like he'll miss a penalty, God he can strike a ball! I hope Cardozo is top of our list though....Even if he is having a stinker!
DeadlyDirk Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Betfair.com mate, got some money riding on it too Cost me a fiver to register and watch the match, put a quid on Benfica scoring first though and them getting the next corner though, I'm gonna be loaded by the end of the night at this rate!!
blue and whites Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 i think if you look at players who are great at taking penalties, they are often a great goalscorer in play as well. it's all about instincts and skill, they just know how to put the ball in the net..
Stevo Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Half time and neither have impressed. Cardozo looks slow and not willing to put much in. Jones does a lot, but crucially misses a lot too. A mix between the two might be worth a shout. Get working on that Sam!
