Yes, it's quite possible Tris, you know those flights are 7 + hrs. and the flight attendants are

terribly 'loose'-- especially w/ the young, handsome footballer types.

All it takes is 5 minutes in the WC.

you sure know how to treat a girl

I won't argue that we need new faces in the middle. But ask any top level manager and he'll say the same. A fit and firing strike force can be the difference from finishing in the bottom 3 and finishing mid table. The league gets tighter every year and a good striker is worth his weight in gold.

I know you'll say its no good having a wealth of talent up front with nobody providing any service. But the fact is a decent striker can make and score chances out of next to nothing. Our midfield has been very poor, thats plain to see. Yes we need to replace Toogs. But we have to prioritise our money and the bulk of it needs to go on a striker. I'd sooner see us take a chance on a midfielder but buy a proven striker than the other way around.

Everybody loves big-money striker signings, but it seems we are having problems finding the right deal in the market.

I wanted Poggy and 9m would have been paid, but the news of this new Ghilas lad and the immenint signing of Di Santo, i dont think we need three new strikers, when we have glaring midfield problems.

It's a team sport so it's useless to agrue what the most important position is in a team. (personally think it's Centre Midfielder)

I understand what you're saying with taking a risk on a midfielder and buying an proven striker.

But one day we are gonna have to spend some serious cash on our midfield.

Watching those clips more like MGP, almost all those goals where scored from a starting position on the left.

In a three up front he could work well.

He DOES look fairly awesome. Comparisons to R Toogs are a little early yet.

After watching that vid mate, looks pretty impressive, good composure, good touch, good vision, eye for goal, 1.7m mate can't go wrong, I know its 2nd div in spain but screw it, I'd be happy with him

Sorry.

Think I was mis-understood. I was simply meaning he looks REALLY like Toogs (i.e. his face), particularly in the first 1-4 seconds of that particular clip.

Just going from video, the difference between him and the Russian seems to be that he can create his own chances. Watching Pavel just reminded me how great Arshavin is.

One could argue 'well, we watched vids of Villanueva and look how that turned out!' but I believe if we stay clear of relegation fears (therefore not constantly requiring 'battlers') this lad will get his chance and turn out AWESOME!! Villanueva wudv been gud had Ince not fecked it up.

I'm always sceptical about watching players on Youtube but he seems to have a touch of class about him. I don't really know how to describe it, but some players just look so comfortable and skilful with the ball.

Or, he could be crap.

I'll really get the hump, if this Kamel guy deserts us and doesn't sign!

Too late. That "joke" was said ages ago.

Still going to wait on this one. Nothing's been confirmed on this side of the fence.

All quiet on the Nixon front... squirrelling his way around Ewood trying to find out where all this Ghilas stuff has come from, mayhap?

Or, God forbid, has something interesting actually happened?

Spanish 2nd Division? Looks a little lightweight!

We need a "target man" before the start of the season, I think this is where we should concentrate at the moment.

Sorry. Boss. This thread travels a million miles an hour, must have missed it whilst skimming through.

Been busy all right...driving a pigging motor.

No idea about these two names that have come up. One is a Portuguese trialist, the other possibly coming in - but maybe has four other destinations.

Interesting to see if either play at Leigh tonight...going to have to go and find out.

Oh, and by the way. The 11 o'clocker will be worthwhile.
