DI SANTO...the man at Chelsea he say 'yes'...Ancelotti has told Rovers that the lad can come...the only reason for the delay today - my Chelsea mole tells me - is because the kid had a couple of days off...he will be heading north before the weekend...although I confess I will be happy to see him arrive and sign on before popping the champagne corks...think he is worth the fuss.

Seemingly we'll get a much needed boost of youth and pace to our attack this coming season (namely Hoilett and Di Santo), which can only be a good thing.

Elrio had a hand in both goals too - finally someone to put a bit of pressure on Gamst this year hopefully. Can't be any worse than Treacy really!

I think the young depth is there, far better than in recent years, but we still need an out and out star.

He obviously rates Diouf, Van Heerden is his own signing, Hoilett looks a bit special and now we're probably going to have Ghilas as well...Pedersen is increasingly looking like the odd man out, to me at least anyway.

Great news on Di Santo by the way, it really takes the pressure off finding the main signing. At the very least we'll be in a stronger position to bargain with the selling club.

Really? I would have thought that's the last thing you could say about him. He has many faults but his work rate is probably his main redeeming quality now.
