nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 If it's true, I bet Kamel has the hump!!! To quote Squeeze...My Khamel looks so tired, it's hardly worth my while. [That one for the old rockers among us].

bob fleming Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 It was Christmas morning...... ...Frustration. Very good Oz! Just about sums it all up.
Kelbo Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 To quote Squeeze...My Khamel looks so tired, it's hardly worth my while. [That one for the old rockers among us]. I am an Old rocker but going senile!! Remind me of the song, what was the title??
hi-jaq Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 The little ginger gte has still got me cornered..................... Little??? you're dead mate!!! I cant really say I'm too worried at the moment, with the current situation regarding transfers. As Nicko said, Sam wants to get a big name in, I think he not only knows that its important for the team, but its also important for the fans. Look what signing Anelka for Bolton did for him... I know Bolton fans that still go on about it. I've this funny feeling that the Pogrebnyak deal is moving on... I hope we get him as I'm sure he will do well in the Prem!!!

socngill Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I am ecstatic that I have no idea who the band are or what the song is. I feel young again
G Somerset Rover Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Nicko do you expect Di Santo to be signed, sealed and delivered tomorrow or Friday? This place needs some cheering up.

Erm, not so little - I have the scars to prove it! I agree with you D, if old cameltoe was not up to the mark its better that we decide now than have another let down. We will be ok come the start of the season, I am sure of that. Need to find a song that rhymes with Pogrebnyak eh? You first!!
Gogger Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Norwegian media claims De Santo has signed the loan deal. http://msn.tv2sporten.no/fotball/england/article2834195.ece "Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has signed Argentinian striker Franco De Santo on loan".
Shabani Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Take Me I'm Yours. And that is NOT an invitation... isn't that a simian mobile disco song ?
budha Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Norwegian media claims De Santo has signed the loan deal. http://msn.tv2sporten.no/fotball/england/article2834195.ece "Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has signed Argentinian striker Franco De Santo on loan". And the same article claims we're about to close the deal on Ghilas..
nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Nicko do you expect Di Santo to be signed, sealed and delivered tomorrow or Friday? This place needs some cheering up. I think so. We are in that football twilight zone time at the moment when nothing is ever as it appears...but this one should be straightforward. ROVERS...want the player on loan...no-brain deal...possible and maybe even probable starter...right good player for nothing but wages. CHELSEA...love the kid to bits but know he won't play for them and seem to be behaving very well after saying Rovers could have him if Carlo felt that it was the best move. DI SANTO...promising striker with a reason to look forward to regular Prem action rather than the delights of the ressies...agent works for Chelsea, so will want to keep onside and do what he is told.
T4E Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 ROVERS...want the player on loan...no-brain deal...possible and maybe even probable starter...right good player for nothing but wages. I thought there was going to a be a loan fee? Has this been scrubbed?
PAFELL Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 If it's true, I bet Kamel has the hump!!! Typical - other clubs get Arab owners, yet Rovers won't buy a Kamel.
Eddie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Nicko has always reported that there would be no loan fee, simply the wages.
nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 I thought there was going to a be a loan fee? Has this been scrubbed? It's not been raised as an issue lately...but there is still time...
T4E Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Nicko has always reported that there would be no loan fee, simply the wages. No, he hasn't.
philipl Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Vieri is a podgy porker Re Khamel, plenty of conspiracy theories on here except the obvious explanation. Perhaps there is nothing more sinister or suspicious than him failing his medical/fitness/proficiency tests.
Guest Wen Y Hu Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Need to find a song that rhymes with Pogrebnyak eh? I can't get Jimmy Mack out of my head... Poggy! Poggy! Pavel Pogrebnyak When are you coming back? (He'll have a lean spell and his advisors will take him away for a refresher. Then when he comes back from a hard-earned vacation in Siberia...) Poggy! Poggy! Oh, Poggy's back Pavel Pogrebnyak Not too many useable rhymes with back other than sack and cack, though. But beggars can't be choosers, so perhaps we should sign him after all.
hi-jaq Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Erm, not so little - I have the scars to prove it! I agree with you D, if old cameltoe was not up to the mark its better that we decide now than have another let down. We will be ok come the start of the season, I am sure of that. Need to find a song that rhymes with Pogrebnyak eh? You first!! The first thing that came into my head was something along the lines of that old Desmond Dekker, Israelites... oooooo oooooo POGRBNYAK!!! Couldn't think of any lyrics to fit before that... I believe thats where you come in big P, as you are well renowned as 'king footy song writer'. OOOOOPS... Hang on we hav'nt signed him yet!!!
bluebruce Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Not too many useable rhymes with back other than sack and cack, though. But beggars can't be choosers, so perhaps we should sign him after all. I'm a bit tired, but here's a bunch if you can wrangle them in there: black, track, crack, whack, smack, rack, thwack, yak, jack, shack, nack, quack, flak, hack, tack, lack, plaque, stack. Eh that'll do, several of those seem suited to footy, and several you'd be a comedy genius to get something from, enjoy!
