T4E Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I'm a bit tired, but here's a bunch if you can wrangle them in there: (paint it) black We sold two strikers so we bought Pogrebnyak, No Santa any more we've got Pogrebnyak, Maybe now Chris Samba can go and play at the back, Its not easy facing up to Pavel Pogrebnyak.
Roost Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I can't get Jimmy Mack out of my head... Poggy! Poggy! Pavel Pogrebnyak When are you coming back? (He'll have a lean spell and his advisors will take him away for a refresher. Then when he comes back from a hard-earned vacation in Siberia...) Poggy! Poggy! Oh, Poggy's back Pavel Pogrebnyak Not too many useable rhymes with back other than sack and cack, though. But beggars can't be choosers, so perhaps we should sign him after all. Bloody good effort though Trying to think of a song with 'crack' in it - maybe I should ask Samdingle. Lets hope we have done a deal. Getting him & Santo in would put a smile on my face..............
Bennisfromheaven Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 WOW!!! We have really sunk to new lows on here!!! making up songs for players who do not play for us, & at this moment in time, dont look like they will ever play for us!! Nicko, please give us something, anything, make it up if you like but just give us something!!!

nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Sky are linking us with a move for a 17 year-old Brazilian centre half: Rovers after Brazilian youngster This lad has been at Newcastle on trial and was due to join Man City recently. Hmmm. A Brazilian playing for a Slovakian club. All the best with that one.

Sandiway Blue Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 He`ll shoot high He`ll shoot low he will score wherever we go cause he`s Pavel Pogrebynak He`ll help us win at turf Dingles should be shot at birth (Sung to the tune of nick nack paddywhack) Anyway back on topic..(sorry mods! ) Do you still think the Poggy deal will go ahead Alan and Sam might be making the russkies sweat a little? Thanks!
Kelbo Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Vieri is a podgy porker Re Khamel, plenty of conspiracy theories on here except the obvious explanation. Perhaps there is nothing more sinister or suspicious than him failing his medical/fitness/proficiency tests. I am inclined to agree, terms and fee had been agreed so something has changed overnight, I cant believe they would have agreed terms etc and then simply decided against it!! Though you never know but I think its down to either fitness, medical or the 'Test' Sam insists on!!
bluebruce Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Trying to think of a song with 'crack' in it - maybe I should ask Samdingle. Heh, the ten crack commandments by Biggie? Then again, we're not signing a poor man's Adrian Mutu...(get it?)
Roost Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Heh, the ten crack commandments by Biggie? Then again, we're not signing a poor man's Adrian Mutu...(get it?) Very good................
Eddie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 No, he hasn't. Pretty sure everything that I have read has said that we would simply be paying the wages, which is why it has been reported as being such a good deal.

We've just signed Pogrebnyak... so we can carry on making up songs!!!

nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 I hear you have lined up a new first-team coach. No idea who at this stage. The word is Sbragia didn't come because the contract offer wasn't very good, incidentally.

nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Not that I would like to encourage gambling... But Leeds are 3 to 1 to win at Newcastle tonight. Anyone who saw either of them on Saturday might regard that as good value.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Wonder if its Big Colin!! But Gary Speed would be fine Too early for Big Colin. Speed, possible.
Roost Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Too early for Big Colin. Speed, possible. Even though we employed Ince as manger recently
Hi Mack Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Too early for Big Colin. Speed, possible. Speed or Sir Clive Woodward (He can work on our "up and under" tactics for the upcoming season) Still no news on Di Santo.....I dread to think we will start the City game with our current squad! Sam is no mug and he'll have realised in preseason we are missing a striker, Im sure hes finalising a deal at the moment!
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Even though we employed Ince as manger recently I think he meant it's too early for him after the death of his wife.
Guest Wen Y Hu Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Soccernet.com, 29 July 2009 Blanc: Chamakh only leaving for a "big club" "Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc has dashed Sunderland's hopes of signing Marouane Chamakh by insisting he will only let the striker leave for a "big club"." Blanc has been talking to L'Equipe yet again. No mention of the Rovers, but presumably we are keeping a watching brief.
den Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I think so. We are in that football twilight zone time at the moment when nothing is ever as it appears...but this one should be straightforward. ROVERS...want the player on loan...no-brain deal...possible and maybe even probable starter...right good player for nothing but wages. CHELSEA...love the kid to bits but know he won't play for them and seem to be behaving very well after saying Rovers could have him if Carlo felt that it was the best move. DI SANTO...promising striker with a reason to look forward to regular Prem action rather than the delights of the ressies...agent works for Chelsea, so will want to keep onside and do what he is told. and if there is a snag, that's it.
Kelbo Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 and if there is a snag, that's it. But Nicko posted Carlo has given the Ok!! On that basis, no snag!!
chaddyrovers Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 i think we should go and sign poggy now. a bid of 5 million. put a bid 2 million for beye. maybe a loan bid for bentley. can play in the middle and would become our playmaker after tugay.
