nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 and if there is a snag, that's it. Ancelotti has said yes...

Eddie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Soccernet.com, 29 July 2009 Blanc: Chamakh only leaving for a "big club" "Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc has dashed Sunderland's hopes of signing Marouane Chamakh by insisting he will only let the striker leave for a "big club"." Blanc has been talking to L'Equipe yet again. No mention of the Rovers, but presumably we are keeping a watching brief. Pretty sure those are the same quotes as before. He wasn't really saying that they would only accept a bid from a big club, more that he just couldn't understand why he would leave to go to a smaller team.
Iceman Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Sam is no mug and he'll have realised in preseason we are missing a striker, Well there is a surprise for you. I never knew we needed a new striker.
LeftWinger Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 We're not been linked with Huddlestone for awhile. A clue to his lack of mobility is below...
Eddie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Funny, although that Mcdonalds bag is definitely photoshopped...not sure about the belly.
Roost Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 We're not been linked with Huddlestone for awhile. A clue to his lack of mobility is below... Macdonalds bag as well! He can boot a ball though......................
Hi Mack Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Well there is a surprise for you. I never knew we needed a new striker. If you have nothing decent to write dont write at all.......if you had quoted all of my post it does make sense. People are thinking Sam wont buy anyone. Obviously he will as in preseason Benni and Roberts have been struggling! Capiche? (thats not a striker suggestion either )
hi-jaq Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 We're not been linked with Huddlestone for awhile. A clue to his lack of mobility is below... He's gotta be dressed like that for a joke... look at those shorts!!! They look a right bunch of t***s!!! If the fat belly full of Maccy D's is to blame for his lack of mobility... How come Tugay could still put it in when he was 38 & smoked??? I reckon he's just lazy... big, fat & lazy... Allthough he's a fairly good player, I dont think he'd be any good for us... no thanks!!!
Hughesy Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Well Sam seems very keen to find potential rough diamonds - next up a young Brazilian defender. It will make a change to see some exciting youngsters in our 1st team squad. nicko - any news on Bents destination? Seems to be taking its time.....
socngill Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Is that Lennon on the far right? Somebody needs to teach him how to dress himself. he looks like a complete t~@t
Blue n White Rover Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 i think we should go and sign poggy now. a bid of 5 million. put a bid 2 million for beye. maybe a loan bid for bentley. can play in the middle and would become our playmaker after tugay. Wow, some people play a lot of Championship Manager these days. Sunderland have been a bit quiet with the Bent signing, has that fallen through? Crouch opted not to go there as well.
den Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Ancelotti has said yes... Sorry for being a bit slow here, but has Carlos said yes as well?
Hi Mack Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Sorry for being a bit slow here, but has Carlos said yes as well? You mean Carlo den or Franco?
Kelbo Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Wow, some people play a lot of Championship Manager these days. Sunderland have been a bit quiet with the Bent signing, has that fallen through? Crouch opted not to go there as well. Not keen on brown ale and pigeons I think
nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 nicko - any news on Bents destination? Seems to be taking its time..... I don't think the fee is agreed yet. Typical Spurs negotiations.
daveoftherovers Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 We sold two strikers so we bought Pogrebnyak, No Santa any more we've got Pogrebnyak, Maybe now Chris Samba can go and play at the back, Its not easy facing up to Pavel Pogrebnyak. "Liking your work" Tugay4
nicko Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Sorry for being a bit slow here, but has Carlos said yes as well? The Chelsea players were given a couple of days off after the American trip. Di Santo and Ancelotti will go through the Rovers loan move - probably tomorrow when they come back in together - and the player will be told why Chelsea think he should go on loan but is still part of their plans when he comes back. I don't expect any messing around, but you can never be sure until a deal is done.
Kelbo Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 There was a song way back called Yackety Yak!! anyone remember it??
Iceman Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 If you have nothing decent to write dont write at all.......if you had quoted all of my post it does make sense. People are thinking Sam wont buy anyone. Obviously he will as in preseason Benni and Roberts have been struggling! Capiche? (thats not a striker suggestion either ) Relax. I was just being sarcastic. Its not as if Sam doesnt know we need a striker, heck the world knows. There is still a month to go before the window closes. The only problem is the new striker will not have had a pre season with us. Mack is the thread getting to you now? ;-)
hi-jaq Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Not keen on brown ale and pigeons I think There seems to be a trend here... All the clubs up that neck of the woods are either constantly missing transfer targets, or are getting relegated... Worrying times for the North East posse!!! Meanwhile we are negotiating to sign or have been heavily linked to an Argentinian, a Brasilian, a Russian, an Algerian & a Frenchman... All of whom ave yet to come through the door... are we in the same boat???
daveoftherovers Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Not keen on brown ale and pigeons I think Anyone who's been to Sunderland will give you many many reasons to add to that list Kelbo, it is truly one of the most depressing places I've ever been to, people are nice enough though, unlike the deluded folk across the sludge... However, first impressions count in a big way and when you see what they have on offer... (Like Hull are finding also) Nicko, A long shot I know, what's the crack with Appiah? Is he seriously crocked or fit & and available? (Or too big a risk?) I used to really rate this guy, a fully fit Appiah would look good in our Midfield, having said that, I'd look good in our Midfield and I'm a crock! LOL Cheers

Iceman Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Nicko any news on whether Gallagher has a chance of playing much this season? Looks like Sam might use him in midfield somewhere. If not, then he could be on his way permanently. ................................YES.................Yess it is Lol. Dont worry, we will sign Luca Toni, i just know it.
